Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

Botella. Amber golden nice colour, medium off-white head, ok lacing. Sweet caramel hoppy fruity piney like aroma with some maltiness underneath. Good mouthfeel. Dámar mær bara heilt væl. Sweet caramel (exotic bit) fruity hoppy citrus bit flavour, the maltiness following after in to the seet caramel hoppy finish, where the nice bitterness comes along all the way.

(35 cl bottle from Høkeren; Bottled on November 20th 2012; BBD: March 31st 2014) I’ve been wanting to taste this ever since I first stumbled upon the description on RateBeer. The special draw is of course the Falconer’s Flight hop blend that I’ve never tasted before but read about. The concept of pre-blended hop pellets is new to me but as it allegedly contains both Citra, Simcoe and Sorachi Ace I assumed I would appreciate it. The beer pours a clear amber with a medium, white head that recedes fairly quickly leaving lace. Good regeneration. Aroma is somewhat boozy and mostly whithered hops owing probably to the relative age of the IPA - sadly something that seems to be the case for many bottled, American hopforward beers imported into Denmark. There are some faint herbal and citrus notes present in the nose after a bit of warming up. It never gets beyond that though unfortunately. Oily texture, full body, medium carbonation and a slightly bitter and warming finish with an odd off-taste. Taste is moderately bitter with heavy sweetness to counter it. Bordering a DIPA in my book. I’m glad I had the chance to try this.

The head is ok, the body orange, more red. It smells hoparomatic, sweet, fruity. The taste is hoparomatic, sweet, fruity-mandarine, lemon. Nice 12/12/11/11/10/11

Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 31.03.14. Pours a hazy golden/copper with an off-white/yellowish head. Good lacing. Aroma is mild; malty, dough, hops and a light milky note. Warming brings out light notes of dried fruit, grass. Flavour is sweetish, malty and hoppy. Light grainy and milky notes as it warms. Tart, bitter finish with a liquorice touch. Lingering dry, grassy note. Overall so-so. 07.03.13.

What a nice surprise! Seemed like such a "generic" type of label and beer when I bought it in a variety pack. But a pleasant taste and easy IPA to drink and enjoy - just the right strength and finish. Will enjoy the rest in the case with my Hon.

Fairly weak aroma of orange and malt. Clear copper with nice full white head and full lacing. Taste of dirty earth. Slight orange and malt in the background. With citrus and nice bitterness at the backend. Wonder if there is an issue with the line or age - thus does not have the bursting aspects of Falconer’s Flight when I have brewed with it.
