COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

fiulijn (13533) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 19, 2013
Bottle from Maruhn, Darmstad; marked Nov 20 12 (bottling date?)
Hazy amber color with small head. The aroma is caramel-forward, apparently sweet, with a fruity touch. Strong caramel flavor, with moderate residual sweetness; strong bitterness (although well blended in), with medium-strong resins, and bitter orange fruitiness.
Too caramelly for me, for an IPA, but a good beer overall, although it doesn’t seem very fresh.

pivnizub (8591) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle: Amber, hazy, small but lacy off-white head, distinctive spicy piney-hoppy nose, maybe some more exotic fruits underneath, caramel detectable; quite dry moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied for a beer of 7.0%; dry and lingering piney-hoppy finish with traces of dark malt and the good old cough syrup, all in all a bit harsh. Not a world-class brew, but still a chunky IPA…

22. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a scant off-white head. Big sweet pine and floral nose with soft fruit notes at the edges. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Darkly toasted caramel with some tangy fruit notes on the mid palate. Mild sweet finish.

Pours an amber color with nice fluffy off white head. Aroma of caramel with some floral fruity notes. Hoppy but not overly so. Medium bodied with a nice clean finish. A very nice drinking beer.

Quack-Duck (7523) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2013
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear amber colour, mid-sized, creamy white head. Full-bodied, good malty base that supports the citrusy-resiny hop flavours.

jmarsh123 (163) - Indiana, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Pours a deep clear copper color with about a 1" white head that sustains pretty well. Smell is bready/grainy with some pine. A bit too malt forward for an IPA. Taste is similar. Strong bready and caramel malt bakcbone with some slightly astringent pine dry bitter finish. Hints of some wood as well give it a unique taste. Mouthfeel is good with good carbonation. Perfectly drinkable beer although the dry bitter finish may make having more than 1-2 of these unpalatable. Nothing horrible, but nothing great either.

Can’t remember if this was a bottle or on tap - but from Bonefish restaurant. Copper-orange pour. Aroma is earthy hops and caramel malts. Tastes are floral, light spice, caramel, pine, grapefruit, little on the toasty side. Fair enough w/ dinner.
