COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

Bottle. The pour was a medium copper orange with an average sized (1-2 finger) off white rocky head that had great retention, lasting throughout with some great sticky lacing. The aroma was of caramel malts, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and grapefruit. The taste was at first sweetly malty with a huge note of caramel and then slowly became nice and hoppy with a note of citrus (grapefruit) at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time proceeding the swallow with a good strong hoppy taste left on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and dry in texture with a prickly carbonation. Overall an IPA that started mildly malty and a tad sweet but ended BIG in the hops department...

Nice floral slightly spicy hop aromas. Touch of caramel on nose. Pours nice bright copper with offwhite head. Taste is hop forward. Moderate bitterness, but no real malt presence. Somewhat a very traditional IPA (minus points for lack of any malt presence). Would drink again, but with so many other available IPA choices these days, probably wouldn’t pay for it.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper/amber with a one finger off white head. Some lace. Aroma is predominately grapefruit with some orange zest. Taste mimics the aroma to the tee. Maybe some caramel malt. Full palate with a bitter finish. Very nice, very drinkable, if somewhat one diminsional.

Great looking pour! Nice amber body. Sweet caramel malt body with fruity character. Floral hops with a light sting. Moderate citrus and pine.

On draft at the Brass Tap poured a honey color with bready and malt aromas. Not much hops on the nose, but did have a touch in the flavor that balanced out the malt and caramel flavors.

A hazy, copper pour with an off-white head. The aroma is actually quite malty, though there is some mild pine notes. The medium body has an oily texture with lively carbonation. It has a bittersweet initial taste that gradually increases in bitterness and finishes dry.

12oz bottle–pours amber with a foamy light tan head. Aroma is pine/citrus-grapefruit, some light/medium malt. Taste is sweet citrus-grapefruit/resin hops, 2nd roasty medium malt.

The aroma is really hoppy but well balanced with caramel malt. The hops are grassy and citrusy without being overpowering. The appearance is deep amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma and slightly astringent. The palate is smooth. Overall not to shabby!

From bottle. I love the rotator series of IPAs. This one is more subdued in hop presence but is still a decent offering. Some citrus but malt is more apparent than the other IPAs in the series.
