COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

Bottle served in a tulip. Clear dark honey with a short head. Decent retention and great lacing. Subtle aroma of floral hops, stone fruit and earthy malt. Has a more pronounced flavor with a good balance of malt and resiny hops. Medium-light body, oily texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish.

(12oz bottle). Pours a hazy orange-copper color with off-white head and active carbonation. Aroma is hard candy, caramel, bready malts. Not getting much hops. Taste is sweet with more hard candy. I’m surprised, but this tastes like its already over the hill. Medium bodied with a sticky texture. Not a bad beer, but definitely malt-forward.

Pour is a dark orange with a average white head. Aroma is a nice fruity citrus hop with some sweet malt. Flavor is the same. A nice almost mandarin orange fruit with a nice bitterness followe by a decent malty backbone. This is a nice IPA from Widmers

Clear bright orange with a smallish head. Big orange citrus hoppy aroma, with some Floral tones. Taste was mild citrus with some grassy bitterness in the forefront. Chewy toffee backbone. This one was alittle dry and bitter.

Butters (3787) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Hazy burnt orange pour with ring of tan head and seafoam lacing. Sweet caramel apple hop nose with a little perfume. Flavor is decent semi pine hop character and some balanced malt caramel sweetness. Leans toward a somewhat bitter hop bite on the finish. A little ’sprucy’ even. Decent, But not anything to write home about.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a copper color with a nice two inch light tan head that lasts. Taste is of grapefruit, pine, hops, resin, malt and caramel. Similar aroma. Has a nice wet body. The finish is dry, bitter and lingers. Well balanced and easy to drink for having 7% alcohol.

12 oz bottle - Orange with a small white head. Some fruity aromas. A bit sharp to the tongue. Like a thousand needles, but not in a bad way. Nice, hoppy IPA.

Bottle to snifter. Pours clear amber with a foamy tight off white head that slowly fades to film and sticky lacing. Aroma is earthy bitter hops mixed with a malty carmel. Taste is bitter grapefruit and soil with a light caramel background. Palate is medium feel with a gritty bitter dry finish. Not a bad brew, but nothing out of the ordinary.
