COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

Apricot color, a hazy hue, pouring with a 2 inch sandy head. Piny cirrhosis hop aroma. The flavor is mellow and deliciously hoppy with a nice malt backbone. Yoyo can’t drink a lot of this one though but it always satisfies the palate. Cheers widmer. I don’t care what anyone says y’all can brew good beers, except for that hefeweizen.

Tap @ Hood River Hops Fest... Poured amber with an off-white/beige-ish head. Chewy, full bodied with herbal hop characters. Mild yeast esters with hints of earthy leafy hops, malt, and had a clean finish.

bottle. tawny brown body, fine-bubbled tan head. pale and mild toast-focused nose with lightly aromatic grassy / wet / resinous hops but the wet cardboard and bready / toasty red apple malt mostly overpowers the hops. medium-light body; medium hop bitterness; bit crunchy / toasty brown malts; red apple skin sweetness late. simple, sweet, out of balance and a bit messy.

A single blended hop variety? Sounds nifty. Nice light amber. I get fresh berries and some mild citrus- orange and grapefruit- in the nose. Body is medium-thick, syrupy and smooth with a small carbonation presence. Sweet berry syrup flavor with a citra-pine bitterness that has moderate lingering. Good flavors, it could be a bit sweet and a bit thick for a single IPA style, I’d like a more refreshing version.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Strong hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Sampled on 9/26/2011. This IPA pours a medium to deep orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is floral and citrusy, with a touch of melon. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral. Medium bitterness with a nice hop bite. Decent carbonation. A nice balanced IPA, no big hops, no big malts, just a nice IPA with a nice hop bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, but lingering.

On draft at Fremont Oktoberfest, Seattle, WA. Had to try it, new hop, new ipa so here goes. Nothing about this beer is awesome. Medium gravity, medium hop aroma, medium finish. The hop itself has tinges of passionfruit, a little candied orange aroma, and a piney aftertaste. Peaches and apricots make appearances in the flavor, but very little if any. A non-remarkable ipa, but worth a try just for the new hop varietal.

Bottle courtesy Fratto. Pours a hazy orange color with a foamy beige head. Aroma is light hops, spicy notes and some fruit. Flavor is spicy hops, light fruit with a huge bitterness. Light burning sensation with a bitter finish.
