COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear amber colour, mid-sized, creamy white head. Full-bodied, good malty base that supports the citrusy-resiny hop flavours.

Pours a deep clear copper color with about a 1" white head that sustains pretty well. Smell is bready/grainy with some pine. A bit too malt forward for an IPA. Taste is similar. Strong bready and caramel malt bakcbone with some slightly astringent pine dry bitter finish. Hints of some wood as well give it a unique taste. Mouthfeel is good with good carbonation. Perfectly drinkable beer although the dry bitter finish may make having more than 1-2 of these unpalatable. Nothing horrible, but nothing great either.

Can’t remember if this was a bottle or on tap - but from Bonefish restaurant. Copper-orange pour. Aroma is earthy hops and caramel malts. Tastes are floral, light spice, caramel, pine, grapefruit, little on the toasty side. Fair enough w/ dinner.

Dunkel hopfiger, sehr frischer Antrunk. Würziger werdend, die Hopfigkeit bleibt vorhanden, fällt aber vergleichsweise zurück. Vollmundig, süffig. Zum Ende grasiger, dezent bitter, rund fruchtige Noten. Gelungen! 9/10/11/11/11/11

Bottle. Orange colour with a white head with medium duration. Aroma is very hoppy, fresh sensation and tropical fruits. Flavor has a very decent bitterness with orange peel notes, tangerine, mango and more tropical fruits are present. Also resins hops are highly present. The final is bittery with a long duration but no disturb in the throat.

pentaz (1214) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2013
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a lacing and partly lasting frothy off-white medium head. Aroma is caramel malts, fruit, toffee, citrussy and herbal hops. Taste is moderate sweet and light+ bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is moderate. Finishes sweet with a lingering moderate bitterness. This beer begs for more aroma hops, the sweet malt base is left with all the attention.

Pours amber with thin off white foamy head. Smells of very light hops. Tastes of citrus, hops, and bitter. Short to medium on the palate with light carbonation.

Poured up amber with a head that died out almost soon after it was in the glass. Aroma is sweet with a grass and fruitish smell. Taste is fruitish with a odd malt flavor and slight alcohol. Not exactly my first pick for an IPA but it is still at least drinkable.
