COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

Old gold to amber pour with a 2 finger, soapy off white head. Aroma is citrus, stone fruit, toast, bready malts and somewhat of a briny, meaty character. Flavor is lightly sweet and fruity caramel up front, sweet and bitter citrus, sweet grass, bread and finishing with citrus, light pine and a briny note again. Medium body with a syrupy, oily entry, moderate strength, blanketing and quite sharp carbonation and quite dry, but still slightly oily finish. Smells and tastes decent, but the palate leaves much to be desired.

Pronounced grapefruit aroma. Deep gold color with a thick creamy white head. Flavors of malt and citrusy hops. Well balanced, but does not particularly distinguish itself among the many IPAs available.

On tap. Clear golden-amber with a lasting ring of cream. Nose is citrus, honey, and crisp fresh grass. Taste is a nice blend of the same. Light-medium body is well balanced and has average carbonation.

Pours a clear golden/amber with a big frothy white head leaving moderate lace up the glass. Aroma is floral, citrus, and crisp pale malt. Taste is mild-med bitterness, crisp lager like more so than an ale but still quite ipa like, resin, grapefruit, and a bit of a malty sweetness. Great for a lager!

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Bottled 7/1/13, so less than a month old. Pours clear golden with a medium white head with decent retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma is doughy, catty, wet river rock, faint lemon. Tastes like an IPA, even though it’s lagered. Bittersweet with a real hop-forward character. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Tasty stuff, but the only clue given that this is a lager is the filtered golden appearance. If I tasted it blind, there’s no way I’d be able to tell this was a lager. As an IPA, I would consider it ground-level basic yet good. Knowing that it’s a lager makes it more interesting.

Pours a clear gold with an orange tinge, head is a clean white that proves lasting. Aroma of lime and citrus, flowers, and a light spice. Flavor is a light bitter hop bite at first followed by some spice, pine, and sweet citrus. Palate is light with a slight carbonation. A good session IPA.

355 mL. Another IPL. They seem to be everywhere now. Not sure why. The lager malt profile just doesn’t hold up to the hops, so you can’t use enough hops to make it worthwhile; shouldn’t really be called an IPL. It’s a flavourful lager. This one smells lovely, but tastes like a flavourful lager. Not a lot of bitterness, but a lot for a lager.

Love this beer. It is an excellent example of an American IPA. Full of hops. Heavy grapefruit flavor, noticeable alcohol and a bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at UES Pony Bar with Streets. Pours a clear amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is fresh grass, pine and bitter citrus fruits. Mouthfeel is medium to thin and refreshing with notes of grapefruit, pine and grass. Pretty straightforward, but tasted solid and super fresh.
