COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

Okay, my friend tricked me. I'm expecting an IPA, and I got this beer. Damn, I like it. Flavorful, yet light. Another good and interesting Widmer. If you're looking for a tasty ale in the summer heat, try this IPL. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle purchased at guacamole s in las cruces nm june 2013 Pour bright orange with a a small fizzy white soaapy head and big bubbles. Nose is lightly spicy nose with a some pine minerals and lite veg notes. Flavors are very metallic pine lots of grapefruit minerals floral and lots of asprin. Short herbal floral and poine finish. Its pretty simple and probably better fresh on tap yet another good brew from this rotator series.

Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Odd aroma of basement and apricots. Very mild flavor, but highly carbonated. Nothing special.

Mostly clear gold - effervescent, with a frothy, well-sustained, compact head - nose is clean, lightly sweet malts (honey, grain), light vanilla, grassy and floral hops - body is just slightly heavier and flavor is just bit sweeter than I was hoping (I was hoping for something light and sessionable when I bought it, not realizing the abv), but that can hardly be held against it, I guess - flavor is clean and medium sweet - strong but pleasant floral, grassy, and peppery hops - soft carbonation, creamy texture - it’s a decent beer, but the alcohol really starts to show and the sweetness becomes a bit much as it warms - if you made it about 5% and made it a bit lighter and more crisp, it would be much better

Clear copper with a wihite head. Pure and simple. Its good. Sorry Widmer haters but really, denial is pointless. Its a powerful hop-forward brew with a ton of floral hopiness and citrus flavor. All this, just with a lighter body. I thought it was lower abv so was surprised at the initial punch of flavor but after seeing its 6.7% that explains it.

TomTron (367) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is strong with pine and citrus, as well as a little bit of caramel malt coming through. Rather crisp as it goes down with a decent amount of hop bitterness and some spice bite as well. A little on the light side which would explain why this is more of a IPL instead of an IPA but still a refreshing offering. Not amazing but solid.

Approximately 4 oz. poured from 12 oz. bottle at a Washington Wine and Cheese Club beer tasting. Clear, effervescent bright amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. Taste of pine resin, citrus, grapefruit, grain, caramel and light fruit. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
