COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

Mostly clear gold - effervescent, with a frothy, well-sustained, compact head - nose is clean, lightly sweet malts (honey, grain), light vanilla, grassy and floral hops - body is just slightly heavier and flavor is just bit sweeter than I was hoping (I was hoping for something light and sessionable when I bought it, not realizing the abv), but that can hardly be held against it, I guess - flavor is clean and medium sweet - strong but pleasant floral, grassy, and peppery hops - soft carbonation, creamy texture - it’s a decent beer, but the alcohol really starts to show and the sweetness becomes a bit much as it warms - if you made it about 5% and made it a bit lighter and more crisp, it would be much better

Clear copper with a wihite head. Pure and simple. Its good. Sorry Widmer haters but really, denial is pointless. Its a powerful hop-forward brew with a ton of floral hopiness and citrus flavor. All this, just with a lighter body. I thought it was lower abv so was surprised at the initial punch of flavor but after seeing its 6.7% that explains it.

TomTron (363) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is strong with pine and citrus, as well as a little bit of caramel malt coming through. Rather crisp as it goes down with a decent amount of hop bitterness and some spice bite as well. A little on the light side which would explain why this is more of a IPL instead of an IPA but still a refreshing offering. Not amazing but solid.

MadRobin (1834) - Silver Spring, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Approximately 4 oz. poured from 12 oz. bottle at a Washington Wine and Cheese Club beer tasting. Clear, effervescent bright amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. Taste of pine resin, citrus, grapefruit, grain, caramel and light fruit. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

arondee (544) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 25, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is citrus hops, grass, and cereal. The taste is light and crisp. It’s "bright" tasting. The hops have a good bitterness and initially I thought I was going to love this beer but it sort of falls flat after a couple seconds. It’s a good beer, but a little watery and short on the finish.

Bottle. Hoppy smell; grassy, some citrus, not really special - but it does smell fresh. Smooth, easy to drink, pretty fresh hop bite. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. Drank it a long side stone pale ale and two hearted, so yeah it did not shine that much.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy gold with a nice white pillow of head. Aroma is cereal, grassy hops, a bit of citrus. Taste is definitely more lager than IPA. Lots of cereal malt with an unbalanced amount of floral, grassy hops and big dose of bitterness. Would be better as one or the other.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear golden color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bitter herbal, resin hops. The taste is herbal, resin, lemon hops with crackery malts, Medium bodied, fairly crisp. Slight lingering bitterness. Decent.

On draft at Hot Rods in Wharton NJ. A very nice IPL. A tasty hoppy lager with fresh citrus and some pine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
