3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Wonderful floral hop aroma. Lots of visible carbonation. Thin white head and some lace. Virtually crystal clear body. Was thinking that was odd for an ale, and then looked at the name of the beer and realized itís a lager. So it makes sense. Perhaps the most flavor Iíve ever had from a lager; somewhat comparable in that way to Sam Adams. Tastes a little more alcoholic than 6.7%. Very good.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, Amber tinted gold, frothy white head which sticks around. Nose is a strange burnt malt, toast, cereal and grain. Lots of yeast notes too.Flavour is similar, toasted malt, doughy yeast. Quite dry, medium to thin body, highly carbonated. Finish is malty with some cascade dry grapefruit bitterness.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a white head. Iím liking this style and have been seeing it more and more as of late though this is not one of the better ones. That said, it is quite drinkable. Minimal hop aromas with flavors of grapefruit and onion with a bit of a metallic aftertaste. Nothing to go out of your way for but makes for an OK dinner beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin, fast-dying white head that leaves a horribly ugly lace. Aroma of metallic hops, some light malt, a hint of earth and some cardboard. Medium-bodied; Assertive malts up front with strong earthy notes, a little caramel and a lot of english and german hop varieties up front. Aftertaste shows a good mixture with a pleasant earthy maltiness, some light caramel sweetness, and a great balance of bitter hops. Overall, a decent beer with some good hop flavours, but the balance doesnít strike me as right for a lager, and the complexity simply isnít there to make it sublime - but it is a good beer to sample during the summer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 17-June-2013 for US$8.49/6pack, sampled at home in Washington on 15-July-2013.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Iím actually quite a fan of this emerging style... I was excited to try this one. Nose is decently hoppy with some grass elements coming off this one to me and just a little bit of that lager corn smell in there. Taste is much the same, with a hefty amount of bitterness from the hops and a hint of the lagery sweetness at the end.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Lake Placid Pub & Brewery pint glass

Price: $12.88 for a variety 12-pack (w/ Vons card)
Purchased: July 4, 2013
Consumed: July 4, 2013
Misc.: Born on April 22, 2013
Poured a light caramel amber color with 4-5 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of foam. Very good thick foamy lacing along the sides. Good retention on the top.
Smelled Cascade hops with lime, pine, lemon and some spices coming through. Also lemon juice, lemon zest, soap and floral notes. Not quite as good as it could be though.
Tasted better than the smell, but still not great. Could taste the alcohol immediately, followed by floral hops, Cascade hops, lime, caramel, honey and soapy pine.
Light body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter refreshing finish.
A bit disappointed when comparing it to their other seasonal IPAís. Good beer for the summer I suppose.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a clear golden appearance with an off white head. Cat piss, onion, big garlic, very spicy, grapefruity aroma. Iím a bit conflicted with the aroma. Flavor is better with a smooth, dry malty, quite grapefruity, onion, spicy hoppy flavor. Pretty easy to drink.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy orange with good, creamy white head, decent lacing / Earthy, lightly skunky nose of citrus / Medium body, some sweetness but lots of bitterness with some astringency, no as much fruit as would be desirable / Muted, dull flavors of orange peel, pine, grapefruit / I donít really see the point of this style. Iíd rather have either a lager, or a pale, but not a hybrid.
