COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weíre turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light sweet malt aroma. Grapefruit and light summer fruit flavor with light earthiness. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light summer fruit lingers with light pine.

12 oz. bottle with a bottling date of May 2013: nice and fresh. A: Pours very clear, dark gold-amber color, with what looks like rather aggressive carbonation. The white head is moderate in size with decent retention and fine lacing. . S: Grassy and herbal with, I think, some Saaz hops and a good bit of citrus. T: Sweet bready malt up front, with more complexity and fruitiness than expected. Hints of pineapple, orange, tangerine and lime. Lightly bitter by the finish. M: Light+ body; acceptably high carbonation; very crisp and clean finish. O: Certainly one of the best IPLs Iíve tried, but then there havenít been many. Nonetheless, this easy drinking beer is recommended for those seeking something like an APA or upgrading from macros.

Golden pour with standard head size. Aroma of sweet popcorn malts and pine and citrus. Flavor is somewhat more subdued than I anticipated, but bitterness and sweet popcorn malts still make their way through. Nice mix of IPA and imperial pils - leans a little more toward imperial pils than, say, Motherís version, which is more like an IPA. Good brew - maybe a tad light for the style, but still mostly fitting and definitely drinkable.

Pours a golden orange-yellow with one finger white head. Aroma is of pilsner malt, pine, citrus, and sweet malts. Taste is citrus, pine, pilsner malts, and sweet bready malts. Has a medium body with a slighty watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, crip, semi bitter, medium-short, refreshing finish. Overall, a pretty tasty IPL that is highly sessionable.

Wow, thereís a *lot* of catty, grassy hop aroma coming off this one! Crystal clear medium yellow with a soapy white head. Those hops bite right in immediately on the tongue with more of the same as well as some pine resin and citrus pith. It actually seems like this is a really strong beer, but I think itís the hops, not the alcohol (at only 6.7%). Even with this, thereís a really good balance here with some light biscuit malt sweetness. A bit of hay and yeast funkiness in the background (although again that might be the hops!). The bitterness lays down and wraps around the tongue like a delicious hop blanket. Bitey right through to the end, thereís a lingering earthiness and honeyed sweetness that makes you want to go back immediately for more. Excellent, tasty and surprising lager.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A sweet nose of Pils malt and honey. The flavor is citrus, pils malt, some light bitterness, a dusty earthy finish. It works well I think. Dominant lager smoothness, very flavorful and smooth.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body supporting a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth soft yet rich citrus hop extract enhanced grapefruit notes as well as malt sweetened orange peel. Well, behind those notes I get a sense of lager-y yeasty esters but Iím not sure I would notice them if I wasnít expecting to smell them. The taste is similar with a pleasing clean citrus hop extract flavor that tugs onto a wedge of resiny citrus hop bitterness and those notes seem to go back and forth for a while. In the background is a light sense of the lager yeast presence as well as a faint malt backbone. This is pretty darn nice as well as hoppy.

Medium gold with a bright white head. The nose is loaded with fresh grapefruit and flowers. There is also some dough and almonds. Hints of spice. This tastes bitter with some grapefruit and bits of almonds. There is was also some toast. A nicely done and well balanced IPA.
