3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours pale from a bottle into a room temperature glass. Heads lasts a bit. Aroma: gentle hops pop out of the glass, some citrus, a hint of grassy malt. Flavor: lager but with much more character and hops; some citrus, grassy malts. Mouth feel: lightly prickly. Good.

Pours clear blond, finger white head.
Smell floral and lager sweetness
Taste honey, bit boozy, hoppy, sticky
IPL isn’t a good style unless it is done right, this one isn’t

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into lager glass. Pours a lightly cloudy honey gold color with a thick head that dissipates quickly leaving behind little lace. Aroma is definitely IPA with notes of orange peel, spruce pine, and hints of cloves. Taste is a little bland but is definitely lager-esque with an acetic initial flavor finishing lightly bitter. Light-medium body, soft carbonation, watery feel with a light alcoholic finish. I love the idea of this cold brewed IPA and it is a great result.

On tap at Stagecoach. Gold and clear with a nice white head. Nice fresh aroma and flavor of citrus, tropical fruit and toasty malts. Bitter and lightly sweet.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells like an IPA but drinks like a lager. Aroma floral with some yeast/bready qualities maybe a little orange or other citrus lightly present. Appearance is clear golden yellow lacing present throughout with a nice creamy head that stays throughout. Taste is crisp with a slightly salty bitterness that is pine and roasted malts and pepper. Great balance and it finishes peppery but not bitter. Lager like finish with hops everywhere. This is almost a sessionable IPA/IPL from Widmer’s rotator series. Its exceptional medium to light body with good carbonation and a long finish. Its what I expect from the series which has featured amazing others including O’Ryely and Falconers IPA’s. Its a perfect IPA choice for someone who normally doesn’t like IPA’s.

Didn’t find it at all hoppy. I thought it was kind of on the sweet and fruity side and didn’t complement my meal as I hoped it would.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From Asahiya, bottle 525 yen. Served in a snifter. A clear orange pour with a tropical fruit aroma, I am getting mango, passion fruit & kumquat. Delicious smell! The taste is well balanced, tropical fruits, solid malt caramel & a dash of bitterness.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear yellow, quick white head. Nose is apricot and pine. More astringent than bitter. Middle is alcohol & lightly kilned grain. Finish is bitter from hops and alcohol. I found this beer somewhat unbalanced.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Chalky, vehemently dry, rife with an petulant mouthfeel that’s just stubbornly bad. These two styles get together to buck heads and rap knuckles against one another. Bad.
