3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Yellowish-orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of damp pale malt, lemon zest, and light caramel. Bitter citrus hops hit the tongue first but the finish is certainly more reminiscent of a lager with sweeter malts. This is a noble attempt and not a bad beer but I feel that an aggressively hopped lager is a contrast of 2 styles (lager and IPA) that should remain separate.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Poured a golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is pungent but also hoppy. Taste is gritty hops, floral, and a sour finish.

I sensed that there was something different about this IPA when I first tasted it. It does have that sour lager taste.

12oz in Seattle. Big fruity hop aroma with mild sour lagering. Pale yellow, clear and bright lager. crisp and tasty, good west coast hops. Green fresh hops all the way through with mild lagering, creamy body. Very nice

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Drank from bottle. Aroma is a little week, smell is very lite on the piney notes a normal IPA has. If they didn’t go for a weird crossover style and actually made a normal IPA maybe the focus of the hops would come through better. Everything about this beer is mild, from the flavors to the smells. It even finishes kind of sweet. Not bad but definitely miles from being good

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear pale gold with small off white head. Aroma is sour, mildly floral, plenty of grain. Taste is also sour, decent grain in the middle, and then a big salty finish. I’ve enjoyed some IPLs before, but this one is bad. Too salty, no detectable IPA qualities. Four months since bottling, but it shouldn’t be this bad.

Tap at Rogue Bar SF. Nice clear golden ipa like pour. Citrus, pine and floral hops on the nose, touch of caramel too. Taste has that lovely pine bitterness you sort out after! Grassy tones and caramel malts add to an aggressive bitterness. For a beer that's not supposed to be an IPA, it's doing a great job.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Rite-Aid: Poured a light pale gold liquid topped with a layer of foam head. Aroma is obvious smell of IPA beer and had a mild profile of green hop pellets. The drink is bitter and has aftertastes of salty. Actually one of the better more rounded out IPA’s I have tasted from Widmer Bros. Surely the amusing recipe out of this boring 12-pack.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass.
Clear golden color with a decent white head and good lacing.
Fruity and piney nose, with some herbal notes and faint sulfur.
Clean light malt, med-hi bitterness, citrus peels, grass and bread.
Medium bodied, quite effervescent, refreshing and pretty OK.
