COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body supporting a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth soft yet rich citrus hop extract enhanced grapefruit notes as well as malt sweetened orange peel. Well, behind those notes I get a sense of lager-y yeasty esters but I’m not sure I would notice them if I wasn’t expecting to smell them. The taste is similar with a pleasing clean citrus hop extract flavor that tugs onto a wedge of resiny citrus hop bitterness and those notes seem to go back and forth for a while. In the background is a light sense of the lager yeast presence as well as a faint malt backbone. This is pretty darn nice as well as hoppy.

Clear gold appearance with a bit of head that disappears quickly. Smell: dark, roasty, grassy, citrusy. Dominant roasted flavor with a crisp bitter taste and a lingering sourness. Mouthfeel: light, thin, watery.

Bottle. Cloudy light amber pour with a small head that fades to a messy ring. Aroma is kinda sugary with grassy and herbal hops. Tastes very herbal and floral. Fairly big sweetness with just a little bitterness in the finish. A very uninteresting IPL.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Spicy hoppy aroma with herbal and slightly woody notes, backed by bready cara-malt. Bitter and mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Dry and bready cara-malty base with a good dash of herbal, woody and piney hops, leading into a dry and quite bitter, almost a bit astringent finish. Not perfectly balanced but might be a gem for hop heads like me. 25.IV.14

a hybrid of sorts. a refreshing IPA, perfect for summer. aftertaste was a bit off, maybe it was my confused tastebuds that wasn’t expecting the lager finish.

Pours crystal clear and gold with a medium white head. Aroma is biscuity and pilsenerish with a sweet syrupy aroma. Taste is very clean and not over the top. The light syrup and light biscuit malts are there throughout the palate, but the finish is looong and bitter. Like it.
