3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle- Pours amber orange with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is unidentifiable hops and nice and spicy. The taste is mildly bitter with piney hops, a little caramel malt. Body is medium and sticky, carbonation is medium. Good solid IPA, much better than I thought it was going to be.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a relatively clear copper-orange with a large pillowy off-white head that retains itself admirably; sudsy lace sheets the glass. Aroma is pungent grapefruit--nice. Taste is bittersweet with no emphasis on either. The hops really shine here with the malt taking a backseat. Rye is noticeable but not overbearing. Carbonation is average, body is medium. A really nice IPA. I wasn’t expcecting much, so it was a nice surprise.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2011 pretty mahogany colored body with decent head. seems very full bodied for only 6.2%, nice and pricky but not thin carbonation. flavor has some caramel sweetness and earthy undertones, probably due to the rye malt used, definitely some spice going on. kind of disappointing short finish. better than the falconer by a bit but the x114 one was definitely the best one so far.
