3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tricyclist (444) - Spring Hill, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2013Sample pour of darker gold with full head. Nose is hopped, but not intensely. Some citrus. Flavor is lighter, mild hops, nothing amazing or anything to write home about. Moderate malt with some sharp yeast notes. Not amazing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 shonobiwan (178) - Sound Beach, New York, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a roasted oatmeal color with apparent rye. Aroma was hoppy with a rye backbone. Taste was initially rank with the rye but after a few sips it gets good. In fact, when the beer warmed up the flavor enhanced making a very good beer experience.

Honestly, for a Widmer brew, not all that bad. Fully hopped and the rye comes through and blends with the hop profile smoothly.

Sweet orange peel, herbs and hops on the nose. Dark copper with no foam. Strong rye, burnt caramel and resin overtones with some noticeable hops and toffee on the finish. Slightly smokey with a full body. Overall, pleasantly dark and herby flavors with strong rye notes. Very unique IPA.

Not bad did not notice O’Ryely was spelled funny so was surprised by the rye malt. I enjoyed it. It is hoppy and nicely bitter. It is very nice on the palate. Citrus definitely grapefruit. A well rounded RIPA for sure.
1.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 cheap (3376) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2013
From a bottle a little darker than a pale ale. Strong aroma of hoppy rye. Thin foamy head. Big strong and bitter, chewing on green grapefruit rinds again. Yes, bitter medicine finish. As a lager lover, I’m not impressed with this. Naggy Nellie. Bitter stuff hangs out in the back of my throat for what seems like hours.

First time with this beer. Aroma is subtle with a little hint of spruce. The taste is slightly sweet and I would say medium on the bitterness scale for me. The flavor quickly fades to the background. Decent IPA
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TChrome (1389) - Bedford, Texas, USA - MAY 9, 2013
I am not super impressed with this beer, but I suppose it would do in a pinch. Aroma is hoppy and spicey. I really like rye IPAs, but this one could do with more hop bitterness, IMO. Taste is bitter and spicy. Pretty decent.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 RobertDale (1896) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Sample at a tasting. Comes a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, malt, and spice. Taste is citrus, caramel malt, pine, rye, and spice. Good IPA.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 adamah (62) - - MAY 8, 2013
The aroma is very light, hoppy and citrusy. It pours an amber color with very thin head. The taste is great like a grapefruit in a glass, bitter up front and sweet towards the end, with a nice lingering bitterness.
