This beer is not for everyone. At the first taste your taste buds are surprised by the distinctive grapefruit undertones. Your first impression is "Is this beer good?" You wait take another sip and think "Yes, this is good" Wait a day and drink another Shaddock you will be amazed by the complexity of the beer and the hint of citrus after taste or you don’t really care for grapefruit and a more bitter tone and feel it is just a good beer. For me it is a great beer! Love it! I tip my beer keg to the Widmer Brothers Brewing staff. Just wish it wasn’t on the Rotator Rotation and a beer you could get any time.

slightly piney, very bitter, strong citrus taste. This is IPA at its best. This is in my top 3 IPA’s, and I am an IPA snob. being a snob I won’t look this horse in the mouth, just know that It is a great beer good example of the style.

Full grapefruit nose of juice and zest, very dominating and welcomed. Clean bright gold, fluffy cottony head. Pithy bitterness up front, deepens into floral rind and fresh squeezed juice and finishes with those beautiful Citra hops. Tailored for me.

Oh boy, this one was made for me! Pours bright amber with white foamy head. Citrus blast full of grapefruit and orange -- WOW -- everything my palate has come to love all in one place. A great session IPA -- up there with my regular Lagunitas but this one has more of the WOW factor. I would buy cases and drink these everyday.

Nice, big grapefruit hop character. Very drinkable IPA, grapefruit character enhances hop bitterness. Will be back.

Bold copper body with a tall eggshell head. Sharp citrus nose. Lightly sweet malt body with a biscuity quality - finishes with a nice fresh grain quality. Expressive hop character with a notes of pine and citrus. A little spice and Robust grapefruit citrus presence that really compliments the hops well - very assertive but not overdone.

12oz bottle pours clear gold with copper hues and near white head. The aroma offers up some nice mostly citrus hop notes that pick up a sliver of mango and then some malt sweetness in the background. Solid aroma. The taste begins with smooth malt sweetened tangelo and then becoming somewhat grapefruit as the hop bitterness rises to the front to midway and into the finish. This is a very nice citrusy brew with a pleasing balance between hop bitterness and flavor. Solid IPA.
