Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But thatís not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer thatís full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

Btl pours slightly hazy golden yellow color, thick white compact head that lingers leaving nice lace on glass. Aroma of flowers, citrus and tropical fruits...faint mango and pineapple. Tastes of sweet malt, bread, citrus flavor and the fruitiness of mango and papaya. Light body, smooth soft mouthfeel, lively, tingling carbonation and a dry finish. Nice refreshing, easy drinking beer. Light and balanced blonde with nice aromas and subtle flavors make this a perfect lawnmower beer.

Easy drinking wheat with a touch of orange. Not as thirst quenching as I would like it to be, but a nice easy summer drinker.

Smells pretty good. Lots of fine lemon, orange and wheat notes float up from the bottle. Less complex and distinguishing on the palate however. A little plain and not especially quenching.

Pours straw blonde, decent head that faded off quickly. Aroma is actually nice, sweet citrus notes and some breadiness. The taste isnít nearly as wonderful. It doesnít taste bad, just very bland. Iím actually surprised at how strong the aroma carries itself and yet tastes so bland. Drinkable summer beer on the porch with friends.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent pale hazy yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated rather quickly. The lacing was somewhat bubbly and didnít last long at all. The smell had some citrus - like aspects to it but it didnít really meld that well. The taste was mainly sweet but through the citrus but once again it didnít really meld that well. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Iím pretty sure I could pound a sixer of this within a session. Overall, this was just a decent blonde ale that tried to do something different with the citrus aspect to it. I probably wouldnít come back to this.
