COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with 6 different hop varieties and 3 different grains, including wheat, Upheaval will be a fitting tribute, not only to the bold Northwest-style IPA, but to Kurt and Rob Widmer’s unapologetic attitude in legacy of innovation.

Date: July 12, 2015... Glassware: Maudite snifter... Occasion: the end of Shark Week-a bit early this year... Appearance: mostly clear, orange amber body that shows lively effervescence; thick, creamy two-finger head leaves an intense, ring of coral just as high in its wake; .... Aroma: robust peach slams the sense; flowery hops produce a fragrant allure; some cereal malts suggest some balance on the back end... Palate: smooth, yet lively at the teeth; approaching full-bodied status; endearing aftertaste resonates long after... Taste: a hoppy, citric impact is inviting; the balance point is malty but unpronounced... the orange and peach is smooth, intense, and flavorful ... Overall: another make-a-six from Wegman’s; the 7% ABV is smoothly understated--in its wake, an IPA that outsessions the sessionals with its confident yet agreeable mouthfeel and its powerful orange/peach profile....

Faint bitter aroma. Light amber color with a thin head. Medium to light palate. Hops up front with some harshness that evens out through the beer. Average for the style.

355 cl bottle. Unfiltered IPA? Hmmmmm looks appealing. Orange color, hazed, short thick offhite head. IPA nose. Aroma is fruity grapefruit, bready, with buiscuits and caramel, hints of honey, a little doughy/yeasty. A slamming trail of green resiny hops leads the finish. Smooth taste, promintently bitter, Medium to full body, soft carbonation, long spicy finish. Excellent IPA.

Draft at SB. Pours a hazy dark amber with bright edges and a loose whitish head. Big sweet caramel nose with some sweet floral, piney, and lightly mango-y hops. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Caramel base under a bit of a mix of floral/piney/fruity notes with a moderately bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, malt syrup), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot), with notes of diacetyl, taffy. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Rough and clunky with a dirty aftertaste.
