COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with 6 different hop varieties and 3 different grains, including wheat, Upheaval will be a fitting tribute, not only to the bold Northwest-style IPA, but to Kurt and Rob Widmer’s unapologetic attitude in legacy of innovation.

I got a lot of mango and sweet tropical fruit on the aroma, followed by a brown sugar sweetness. It’s definitely on the sweeter side as far as ipa’s go. Taste is basically the same. Lots of brown sugary sweetness with a slight hoppy bitterness. Not bad, just a little too sweet for me.

14 jan 2015, tap. Yellow, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is moderately bitter grapefruit citrus. Ned body and mildly fizzy. Tastes of sawdust, peaches, pine, and grapefruit. Mildly bitter with short finish. Decent.

While ultimately just another West Coast IPA variation, this brew features a uniquely pleasant fruity and piney aroma, very sweet yet hoppy. Pours an ever-so-slightly hazy burnt orange, nice white head and plenty of lacing. Taste is "softly bitter" if that makes any sense, as in it is certainly hoppy with bitter pacific resiny hops, but is only of a moderate flavor intensity that does not overwhelm the palate. Nice variety of floral and piney hops, along with some toasted malty background notes. Very grapefruit-like. Finishes solidly bitter with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Not very fascinating on it's own, but goes well with food. Just pleasant overall.

Pullo @ Baltic Princess Pub.

Nice sweet piney aroma. Hints of honey, raw dough and the slightest trace of hops. Great looking dark gold color with a white head of foam. Huge bubbles leave a lot of sticky film on the glass. Tastes sweet up front, like the aroma. Immediately after that, bitterness sets in but it is subdued, not all that intense. The aftertaste falls off a bit; it kind of fades away instead of lingering. The bland aftertaste is the only thing I don’t like about this beer. Overall, I enjoyed this one and would buy it again. I’m generally not a Widmer Brothers fan, but this is a good offering from them.

hazy orange colour, not too much off-white head; aroma of tangerine, floral notes, maybe some mango, bready nd biscuity notes and hints of honey; well balanced bittersweet taste with intensive tangerine, some piney notes as well as hints of tropical fruits; excellent IPA

En riktigt bra ipa, på gränsen till IIPA. Fyllig kropp och lagom kolsyrad, högt skum som försvann relativt snabbt. Inte jätte fruktig men smaken var väldigt balanserad.
