Shared with Strykzone on Facebook chat. Pours an orange gold with an off-white hea nd good lacing. Nose of pine and stone fruit. Medium plus body. Flavor is pine and fruit . The finish is long, bitter and the fruit stays with you. Rye and citrus seems to appear as well. Very nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a finger and a half of head on a mostly clear straw body.
The aroma is a burst of lemon, grapefruit, orange and pine.
The taste has a big dry and bitter start, a little less bitter middle with a touch of sweetness and a bitter finish. Good profile.
The texture is crisp.
An excellent IPA with layers of bitterness.

Poured from bottle into a ping glass
Appearance – The beer pours an orange amber color with one finger of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer isn’t too potent, but is nice none the less. It is heaviest of a grapefruit hop smell mixed with some other sweeter aromas of tangerine, mango and papaya tropical fruit. A little bit of a caramel sweetness as well as some other lighter hop aromas of a pine and gassy nature are there as well, helping to round out the aroma nicely.
Taste – The taste begins with a dry cracker flavor with just a hint of tangerine and orange sweetness. Right from the start there is a rather strong and potent grapefruit hop flavor. As the taste advances, the sweetness fades quickly, leaving a rather dry hopped grapefruit flavor to largely overpower the taste toward the middle of the profile. While very grapefruity in nature, other hop flavors do come to the tongue as the taste advances to the end, with some grassy and herbal hop flavors greeting the tongue. A little bit of sweetness of an orange nature also joins the grassy and herbal hops, helping to reestablish some degree of balance to the brew. While the sweetness that coms at the end does help bring a bit more balance, it overall can’t make up for the dry cracker and mass of hop flavors that are in the brew, which overall leave one with a dry and somewhat overly bitter and harsh flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. While the lower carbonation level really accentuates the hop flavors nicely (maybe too much so.), the thicker body did not really enhance the cracker flavor or the very light fruit flavors well and only seemed to over shine the bitter grapefruit. Overall the feel was just OK.
Overall – A little too big and grapefruity in nature without the malt body to balance it out for me. If you like a slightly more dry west coast style IPA then this is likely a very nice choice, but for me it came off as a little to unbalanced.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Golden hue with white creamy head that settled. Suspended particles. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus oil, pine, straw. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweet followed by a string hop bitterness that extends through the finish. Overall this is a decent brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear goldenrod, minimal head. Big pine resin, bubblegum, some citrus. Quite a bit of grains. Quite bitter, but really big malt sweet bottom. Crisp, clean palate, good amount of acidity, some slight oiliness. Quite well balanced. Good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The pour was pale amber in color, and the body was partially clouded. The head was relatively small for the style, maxing out at one finger thick. The smell was somewhat subdued, exhibiting pine, grass, and some pineapple. The taste surpassed my expectations from the smell, as there was a good deal of bitterness up front, lots of grapefruit flavor, and a touch of spice in the finish. Medium dense body and smooth, easy drinking, texture. Overall, not a bad IPA, but there are others with a more memorable character.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Clear amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Malty, sweet, pine tar, bark in aroma. Pineapple, lime juice, malts, sweet, some weird semi-rotten fruitiness in taste. Soft carbonation. Sweet caramel in aftertaste. Pine in burps. Well at least alcohol is somewhat hidden, but then again it’s only 7%.
