anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Sep 22, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with an off-white head. Nalty wheaty caramel aroma. Sweetish wheat malty flavor with some rosated hints and some hints of caramel. Sweetish wheat malty caramel finish. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 11, 2008 A wheat beer with a different color. Interesting experiment in how grain choice affects different aspects of the ale. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 9, 2008 Bottle. Sweet barley malt aroma. Red body with average head. Flavor like sweet corn syrup with some dry wheat. Not a smooth drinkable beer. Sticky palate with a corn aftertaste. Should of went to bed instead of drinking this one. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Sep 7, 2008 An amber appearance with a white head. The aroma contains some caramel, lemons, and bananas. The flavor is rather malty with some caramel, citrus, and bananas. The palate is rather thin. Overall I was not impressed with this. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one.
Fleeting white head over a dark amber body.
Sweet malt aroma.
Starts sweet then quickly heads to a velvety all out dryness.
A bit thin.
No real wheat character here. mj (4971), Colorado, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Dark rusty brown colored body, clear. Nose is pale and transparent maple-centered... some nutty hops, chewy caramel and cedar flavored malt... not terribly impressive, very subdued and quiet nose, when it could be more assertive. Flavor is cracked grains, some scotch-like malts, maple, rum, tobacco, etc... but not really interesting at all. A light bit of roast seems out of place, and as far as the wheat character is concerned, I guess I missed it entirely. 944play (64), Santa Rosa, California, USA Aug 13, 2008 Disappointing. Low head but nice lace. Just a little malt and a slight carbonic bite. Balanced body, but so boring. Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 10, 2008 355ml bottle. Red/brown bosy with an off-white head. Aroma is light malty with hint of hops. Flavor is smoothing malty with a hint of caramel and light bitter. Reminds me more of a pilsner than wheat ale. Refreshing but not exactly exiting.
