Nose is wheat, biscuits, toast. Taste is soapy and bland. This reminds me of a weak Fat Tire Ale. Not a whole lot went right with this beer. Maybe its time for a new brewmaster. Thank god I broke down the sixer. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Thought it would be better...poured a off white head, which didn’t last too long...Aroma was ok, aroma of malt, no hops detected. Dark amber color. Now, for the flavor. It was a good wheat beer, but was not unique in any way, and to quote the last poster, "Highly Boring", has a sweet malt flavor and I think I detect a little honey as well???.....but it is a good beer non the less. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Crystal-clear medium red color, with a quickly evaporating head. Faint malt aroma. Thin wheat taste. Maybe filtering this beer to achieve the brilliant color robbed the flavor usually found in a wheat beer. OK beer, just not much that stands out. I look forward to to W09. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Easy soft tones of wheat, yeast and caramel malts, not an overwhelming appearance, except the color is a nice reddish copper, flavor is sweet malts and spice, palate is thin, overall a quaffer that I would not refuse if it were at a party or given to me, I’m ready for the next tasting... pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA
