12 oz bottle. Pours a deep, mahogany brown. Foamy tan head. Aroma is mostly a piney hops, with malt overtones. Flavor is very hoppy up front ,with malt overtones and a malt aftertaste. Malty for an IPA. It feels a bit thicker than a usual IPA as well. Overall, a great beer.

Nice deep flavour, lots of hop but surprisingly little head when poured from bottle. Recommended.

Creamy and light brown foam, with small bubbles. Aromatic flavour and intense aroma. Fine body and persistent aftertaste. Try it!

Bottle courtesy of dad consumed at dads, Kilburn, Derbyshire, Thursday 15th January 2015. Pours black but I guess it was always going to with a light beige head. A light citrus nose with some malt. Taste is fruity some pine resin a little chocolate and some spent coffee grains. Jolly decent. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle: Black pour, outlined with some dark brown. A tan head settles quickly to a thin layer. Modest lacing on the glass. Aroma of sticky pungent hops, dank, full of hemp oil & resin. Some sharp ashy roast in the back; bitter citrus, heavy herbaceous notes. Flavor is loaded with hops as well, kind of wet & spicy, but still carrying through with tons of oily, dank resins. Getting more notes of white pepper, grapefruit pith, ashy leaves, burnt roasted malt, & charcoal. Burnt. Hoppy. Oily. Finish is reminiscent of dry, over-toasted rye bread. Not bad, perhaps just a little overboard in terms of perceivable bitterness.

It pours black with a medium brown head. Lacing is significant as the head recedes from the mouth of the glass. It has a sweet citrus aroma with dried fruit elements. The aroma has touches of roasted aromas as well. The carbonation is a bit too lively for my tastes. Roasted malts dominate the taste with a bit of citrus flavor.

355ml bottle. Pours very dark reddish brown, almost black, with two fingers of creamy beige head that leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma is light with candied and tropical fruits (pineapple, mango) with a light acidic note. Taste is caramel, roasted malts, tropical fruits, citrus, hops. Dry bitter finish with vegetal hoppy notes and some coffee flavor. Medium body, low carbonation.

Bottle. Pours black with a short tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, citrus, coffee and light fruit. Flavor was sweet & bitter with coffee, pine, chocolate, roast, mild fruit and had some grapefruit bitterness.

12oz bottle - So my local grocery store started carrying this and while the price is really nice, the beer isn’t so great. A below-average showing for the style, it lacks any resemblance of an IPA, instead borders on being a weak dry stout and a bad pale ale. It’s a solid looking beer in my glass though, but it needs a whole lot more of a lot of things to be even considered average.

ASPETTO: marrone scurissimo, in pratica nero, impenetrabile.
