19/07 On tap at the brewpub. This one had clear dark amber body with medium sized head. Sweetish caramel, honey and oak made its aroma. Flavor was sweet, but not too much, with caramel and fruity, cherry malt, while that oak turned out to be chestnut with a touch of chocolate. Medium in body with long finish, jam, caramel. Interesting and nice seasonal although it would be more appropriate to some autumn month.

Draught at wieden bräu: Nalty, light nutty aroma, hints of fruits and roasted malt. Nut brown color, off-white head. Flavor is light malty, light sweet, light bodied. Bit tasteless and boring.

(draught) pours a hazy ruby-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of bubble gum, bread dough and cherries, slightly oxidised and quite yeasty. flavour is mostly the same, very doughy, with notes of roasted malts, dark fruit and a soft caramel finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Reddish brown, white head. Not quite like the picture... Nice sweet aroma with concentrated fruits, some nuts, brown bread. Small carbonation, easy to drink. just full enough. Medium sweet, some nuts. Nice.

The seasonal at Wiesen. Probably not a brown ale. Dark amber body, maybe amber-red. Nice sweet nose, malty, bit nutty. Sweet honeyish fruity taste, caramel, strawberry jam, nougat, finishing a bit empty. Not bad at all, I’d almost call it unique.
