Not too heavy on the bitter side, more sweet than everything. Full body and classic example from a brewery that I have never heard of. asheft (1587), Marburg, Germany

Pleasant nutty aroma with some cinnamon and spicy melanoidins. Almost clear dark red-brown with a rapidly dropping tan fuzz. Spicy caramel flavour with bitter walnuts and notes of cinnamon and apples. In good sweet/bitter balance. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish. daniele (1756), Italy

Quite spiced and roasted breadish malt aroma. Flavour is sweet initially , yet with distinct spiced note and a breadish roasted flavour. This keeps lingering into the finish with a mild bitterness showing through. A more pronounced dark fruity touch appears for each sip. bierkoning (6113), La Tropica, Netherlands

Appearence is a gorgeous deep red with black shadows and a hearty tall head resting nicely on top. Immediate smoke gives way to a rich and lively fruit basket. Sadly, this joy turns to a bitter metalic finish, saved only by a touch of roasted malt. LordCorkscrew (991), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy
