Bottle 50 cl. Pours dark brown with a reddish note and a small head. Notes of caramel, roasted, toffee. Good strong but easy drinkable taste. Great doppelbock.

On tap at Wieninger Brau Gaststatte. Bright red color, thick creamy offwhite head, plenty of lacing. Aroma of syrup, caramel, cherry, currant, malva-tea, roseberry. Quite complex. Taste is a bit sourish, surprisingly, with soapy notes. Medium to full body long sourish finish. Quite alcohol-heavy, got me flying and then crashed down (after 1L of other beer btw). Wohoo.

Countbeer (6221) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2015
Bottle (50cl): Served in a glass Stein: Medium sized creamy head. Brown colored beer. Aromas of malts, molasses, fruit, flowers, sweet hints, light nutty, prunes, freshly washed clothes and some dark (sweet) tones. Very nice! Flavours of bitters, malts, caramel, dark fruit like prunes, some sweet nuts, dried leaves, herbal(,) toast, dried leaves, hint of wood/bark, delicious stuff. Aftertaste is bitter, malty, light caramel, light fruit and herbal tints with a toasty edge. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Good stuff!

(Wieninger Impulsator) Swing top bottle 500 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 7.5% Red to light brown colour on the body, small tan head, a bit thin, with low retention, leaving light lacing around the glass. Aroma of caramel, light nuts, faint toffee that becomes stronger as it warms up. Taste also of caramel, some floral touches, toffee on the finsh and the aftertaste, quite sweet. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Slightly sticky palate. Overall okay.

Daumen hoch.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. The beer pours out in a deep dark brown colour with steady low head and medium to smooth body. Aroma of roasted hops and malt. Taste of malt, barley, prunes, hay, straw, animals and bread. Smooth finish. Enjoyed it.

Moravius (1130) - Berlin, GERMANY - APR 15, 2014

Bottle 0.5l. Pours clear mahagony with small off white head. Aroma is sweet, dried fruit, prunes. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, light bitter, dried fruit, prunes, molasses. Aftertaste is slightly boozy and very sweet. Not bad but a touch too sweet and sticky.

Idiosynkrasie (6511) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 17, 2013
500ml bottle. Wonderful, clear, ruby red colour with average, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Malty aroma, some malt spicyness, cautious hints of toffee and rock sugar. Taste is initially spicy malty, minimally sweet with a nuttily touch, later dry, minimally grassy hoppy, very cautious hints of roast. Nice, not too sweet Dopelbock could do even better with a fuller malt body.
