This is a full-strength beer containing 5.4% by vol. alcohol, which is spicy and not too strongly hopped. Stammbräu harks back to the optimistic mood of the early days, still prevailing here, and is advertised with period illustrations from shortly after the turn of the century. Stammbräu is only available in the traditional cliplock bottles, which have been re-introduced. Particularly in the Vienna area. 12.6°

0,5 bottle brought from Austria and consumed in Serbia. Thank you Lela. Pours filtered golden color, medium-low white cap leaving draft an lacing while lowers. Nose: pleasantly malty, grainy, very floral hoppy flavor. A citrusy hint too. Mouth: below expectations given by the nose but fairly nice. Sweet malts, bitter palate...a bit of a chaotic mixtures in a Pilsner which anyway meets expectations. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden color, small white head. Malty sweet aroma, but not that bad. Taste is smooth, moderate sweetness, not so exciting. Watery texture, soft carbonation. At least it’s easy to drink and not at all awful.

.5l flip top with a big thanks to Alex for bringing this over to me. Pours out a pale golden topped white head. Nose is grain grass and a bread malt. Taste is more of the bread malts and a nice little grassy hop on the end.

0,5l bottle. Funny that I never realized that this beer is a Pilsener. It doesnt taste like a typical Pils. Thin taste with a slight bitterness. Average beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
