Bordeaux wine red like body with, after same effort, a bubbly small light beige head. Forestry hops and clean yeast supporting quality light roasted malts, caramel goodness and bourbon vanilla. Not powerful and sharp, like an amber Ale, but smooth and rich, like a traditional ales - - yet with lager cleanness. Tasty is a bit less complex, smooth malty sweetness. Too little carbonation for my taste. Started out brilliant, but fades in appeal towards the ending. (50cl bottle from Wasana’s Getränken Oase)

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home.

Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a huge, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, grain, nutty, caramel, light hoppy, leather notes ! Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dry, nutty, caramel. Maybe not to style but it works ;-). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120730]

omhper (18949) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2012
Bottled, from biershop-bayern.de. Lightly hazy deep mahogany colour, firm head. Toasty nose with a touch of dates. Mid sweet with medium body and firm, well rounded mouthfeel. Mild roasty bread, dates and black currant are balanced by some grassy, spicy hops. Balanced, mid bitter finish. Really enjoyable dunkel.

Idiosynkrasie (3233) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 27, 2012
500ml bottle. Clear dark reddish-amber with average off-white macropore head. A soapy hop note and a cautious dark malt aroma interfere with each other. Slightly roasty dark malt taste, dark bread, some chaff, intensening toward the finish. Everytime you could expect some sweetness coming in, a dry grainy note regains strength.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20
Quack-Duck (7517) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 15, 2012
bottle from biershop-bayern. Hazy, deep chestnut-brown colour, large and creamy, very persistent off-white to beige head. Roasty nose with hoppy hints. Medium-bodied, malty with intensive and dry roast flavours, caramel, cocoa powder, a touch of espresso and a shy touch of yeast. Smooth palate. A delight - anytime again!
