500 ml from Regional Wines. Amber to brown colour. Lovely malt aromas, candy apple, toasted malts. Good balanced flavour bitterness coming through rich maltiness. On warming malt sweetness was a little too strong.

500ml bottle from Halswell New World bb 9/11/07. Dryish malty dusty nose. Nice amber, faintly cloudy. Fair head. Well carbonated which probably takes away some of the initial flavour. Mid hop dryness thru to the finish. Reasonable but a little soda-ish

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a bubbly, dense, off-white head. Sweetish, floral aroma. Medium body, light notes of caramel and roasted malt before a fairly hoppy finish with a citrusy touch. 040208

Poured copper, brown white head. Hoppy nose. Some sour notes, which tyrn quite bitter and hoppy. Some caramel too. Nice but could only have one or two.

A lightly malted lager which is nice and clean. Good length (for a lager).

500ml bottle, Wellington. Caramel aroma with faint floral hops in the background. Amber colour with minimal head. Light sweetness, medium body, fizzy, with a bitter finish.

Dark amber color with and slightly hazy body. Normal size white head. Hops in taste and in the aftertaste.

Draught. Pours reddish brown with a medium tanned head. Sweet malt, caramel, fruit and hops. Sweet and bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2007 Retasted 15/03/2007. Slight haze. Pungent caramel. Quite astringent - hot in the throat on lingering in the mouth. Grain or sparge problems? Everything else similar to below. Dropped from 3 to 2.7. Tasted 13/08/2006. 500ml bottle from Island Bay New World.
Burnished gold, bright, with a lightly lacing white head. Caramel and lemonade on the nose, with a musty background note of mealy red apples. Toasty malt and grassy bitterness dominate the mouth, with a lingering herbal hop note. Carbonic dryness doesn’t allow everything through. A little lacking in malt sweetness and slightly over-hopped but a fairly pleasant easy drinking beer.

Colour: cloudy golden brown with a tan head
Aroma: Toffee caramel notes and honey. Malty and smooth, very drinkable, slight hoppy aroma. Smooth taste, full flavour. Sits at top of mouth.
