OJB (22), Dunedin, New Zealand Sep 20, 2007 The colour was medium-strong red-orange amber, and there was a fairly strong creamy head. There was strong carbonation. The aroma showed strong toasted malt and light hop bitterness. The taste showed strong toasty malt, light spice, and a bitter hop finish. This was quite a strong, fairly complex style.
TheGrandMaster (1432), Auckland, New Zealand Mar 3, 2008 Bottle, poured a dark copper with a large foamy light brown head. Sweet caramal malt aroma, a little oaky. A very sweet palate, the toasted malt exhibiting both caramal and nutty flavours. The hops increase in the finish, with a little bit of spice and bitterness. A pretty well put together Vienna Lager. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 12, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a bubbly, dense, off-white head. Sweetish, floral aroma. Medium body, light notes of caramel and roasted malt before a fairly hoppy finish with a citrusy touch. 040208 Plimmer (234), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 4, 2008 Dark amber color with and slightly hazy body. Nice amber, faintly cloudy. Fair head. Well carbonated which probably takes away some of the initial flavour. Mid hop dryness thru to the finish. Reasonable but a little soda-ish
