COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. 2007 edition. Clear golden colour with a very thin film head. Aroma has loads of alcohol, some maltiness. Very creamy mouthfeel - mostly because you’re drinking almost clean alcohol... Taste is alcohol, alcohol, alcohol, some sweetness...

2006. Orange golden with a moderate head. The aroma has a strong note of alcohol, malt, sweetness and a little bit of hops. The mouthfeel is quite full. The flavour has a lot of alcohol, sweetness and malt. It’s too sweet and too strong, perhaps it’s an object for the collector, it certainly isn’t for enjoyment...

2007. Light amber with fine fully lasting white head. Aroma has sweet malts, alcohol & fruits. Goog lacings. Sweetness from malts & alcohol. Tickles the tongue. Easy metallic taste. Full body. Rather rough & harsh overall, but a bit better than expected!

Grovlam (4207) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2007
Bottle. Average foamy white head that mostly lasted. Good lacing in glass. Body was clear light sparkling and color was yellow. Aroma was light grain, caramel and maybe some fruit. Medium bodied with an alcoholic texture and a soft carbonation. Harsh almost bitter flavor, maybe because of the alcohol. Light bitter finish. Not a good beer for a + 10 %.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2009 Bottled. 2006-vintage. A clear, golden beer with a diminishing white head. Weak aroma, in fact it smells watery, with just some fruity notes. The flavor is alcohol-dominated, sweet and fruity and lacks balance. Medium to full body and a looong alcohol finish with some malt, sweetness and fruit. What’s the point? Rating: 3-3-3-3-6-1.8. (070106)

Bottle, 2007-vintage. Decent looks, with a clear, almost golden body and a small, off-white head. Alcohol and malty sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is much the same, sweet, sugary and malty, with a touch of dried and fresh fruits. Full-bodied and warming. Lasting finsh with sweetness and alcohol. A beer that certainly need some time in the cellar. When fresh it’s not much good at all. (081128)
