COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2009 Bottled. 2006-vintage. A clear, golden beer with a diminishing white head. Weak aroma, in fact it smells watery, with just some fruity notes. The flavor is alcohol-dominated, sweet and fruity and lacks balance. Medium to full body and a looong alcohol finish with some malt, sweetness and fruit. What’s the point? Rating: 3-3-3-3-6-1.8. (070106)

Bottle, 2007-vintage. Decent looks, with a clear, almost golden body and a small, off-white head. Alcohol and malty sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is much the same, sweet, sugary and malty, with a touch of dried and fresh fruits. Full-bodied and warming. Lasting finsh with sweetness and alcohol. A beer that certainly need some time in the cellar. When fresh it’s not much good at all. (081128)

Bottle. Clear golden colour with almost dissapering white head. Malty aroma with almost no hops. Sweet malty flavor with a touch of glycerin from the high abv. (10.6). Oily on the palate and rather long finish. The alcohol is not nearly balanced by the rest.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Golden colour. Strong alcoholic brew with a nasty sweet taste. Drinkable if its served well chilled in a nice glass and drunk rather fast. 14 Sep. 07: When served well chilled in a big wide glass it’s quite a good nighty night drink......

Tried this in me recent journey to Denmark. 330ml Bottle 2006. The alcohol taste and aroma overpowers pretty much everything. It could be much better, most propably I wouldn’t buy it again.

JorisPPattyn (9081) - Ursel, BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2006
2004 Vintage Slightly orange-tinted golden beer with a small yellowish head, fast gone, fed by big lazy bubbles. Sharp alcoholic nose, bananaester. Apricotbrandy, but a very cheap version. Sweet & alcoholic taste, bit oxydized, caramel. Sharp initial taste but ending softer, sweet. Not really unpleasant, but no complexity. Very viscous, oily MF, burning. Poor beer.

2006. 33 cl bottle nr. 5240516. Skunky hops and alcohol in the nose. Clear, golden coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is sweet with some hopbitter in the finish. Slightly sticky and very alcoholic. Addicts beer. Why in Earth’s name do you make serial numbers on this stuff? I hope this beer hasn’t sold 5240516 copies this year.......
