The next beer to appear this summer will be one of the most exciting we are yet to be involved with…
A collaboration of 3 brewers, 3 nationalities and 6 ideas.
We collaborate to learn, experiment and enjoy. With this beer we have explored new ideas, techniques, ingredients, combinations and processes.
Kelly Ryan from Good George Beer in NZ, Brett Ellis (originally from the US) from the Wild Beer Co, and Mark Tranter from Burning Sky Brewery have used their combined knowledge and experiences to create an incredibly unusual and complex beer, at every opportunity they have sourced an amazing ingredient or tried an alternative technique.
Grain – Spices – Yeast – Wood – Fruit – Flowers
Somerset Sharpham Park Spelt has been used for a full body. Pink peppercorns give a gentle sweet spiciness. Saison and Brettanomyces yeast strains lead to a dry spicy character that will continue to evolve. Wood-ageing in French red wine barrels for 4 months adds depth and oak. Passion-fruit brings a tart tropical fruit character. The 4 month ageing process has been finished off with amazingly tangy Hibiscus flowers.
That is one shnoodlepippin beer!
Note:- 2015 release has a change in label design with Fork Brewing replacing the Good George logo.

Keg @ Marble Beerhouse, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy. Hazy deeper-orange coloured with next to no head. A sour ale, but is fused with dry grain-like flavours which subdue its style. Has a similar effect with its aroma.

Klasse.

The beer has got a light hazy golden-amber colour with a small head and smooth body. Aroma of mild acid, mild spices and spruce. Very gentle, yet intense sour / acid taste with hints of pine, herbs, pepper and vinegar. Smooth to drink, very tasty. Loved it.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head after some initial frothy bubbles. The aroma is acid citrus sour. The flavour is moderate sour with a smooth, light acid, rich passion fruit, dry, light spice palate. Light to moderate bodied with lively carbonation. Nicely balanced and great with food.

33cl bottle. Pours rich cloudy orange with a fine textured creamy off white head. Wonderful Aroma of sweet malts, honey, pepper, sweet fruits, lemon, yeast, lactic acidity, some thick syrupy sweetness. One of the best smelling beer ever had. Taste is less complex with predominant acid notes, some berries, a lot of spices and some funky notes. Dry finish with no bitterness and a light saltiness. Light body, watery texture, medium carbonation. Unusual but very good.
