Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Slightly hazy gold in colour, with a decent white head. Aroma of apricot, lemon, sherbet and sour dough, with some juicy fruit gum in the background. Flavour of tart and yeasty stone fruits, oranges, peppery hops and green herbs, finishing off dry and mouth puckering. Very good.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle at home. Pours cloudy lemon yellow with white pillows head. Aroma is fantastic. Peach, tropical fruits, sugar, bread, spice. Flavour is sweet malt, biscuit, spicy cinnamon notes. Mild carbonation with a touch of bitterness on the finish. A little bit light on the finish which just takes away from it but overall a good beer.

330ml bottle can’t read the BB date but think it’s getting on a bit....crisp and typically Saison-y with some tropical fruit notes from aroma hops. Good stuff, would buy again.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg in Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush. This is a beautiful looking beer. Rich toasty looking amber, hazy, big white medium to large foam head. Nose is really toasty grain. Then some fruity stuff going on, with citrous lemon and grapefruit, fragrant tropical fruit, slight ripe guava and mango when it’s going mushy, crisp Brett yeast, with slight funk and farmyard, gooseberry, blackcurrant bitter and maybe some lychee. Taste has a lot going on, and the Sorachi hop is dominant, with pine, lychee, gooseberry and that blackcurrant tingly pickly sour and earthiness, sticky tropical fruit. This is a bold hop and the balance is bold, but I still like it. I have to say I’m falling in love with these guys. Their beers are full of English berry fruit and prickly bitters. They have a brewery character in a lot of their pale beers that is unique.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange color. Medium size, white head, stays. Grainy, goose-foot, mild sour, grassy herbal notes in aroma. Grainy, mild hops, some grapefruit seeds in taste. It quenches thirst, but it’s boring. No emotion. Soulless.
