Epic by name, epic by nature, this Farmhouse Ale is a transcontinental fusion of Belgium’s eclectic beer culture and the feisty hops of North America brought to life with the aid of West Country artisanal brewing wizardry and judicious use of the US-grown Sorachi Ace hop. On the nose, the hops deliver a big splash of tropical fruit, followed by ripples of well-seasoned spiciness spreading outwards. In the mouth a tangy, bittersweet fruitiness holds sway, while tangerine oranges tap dance their way across the tongue in the finish.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Slightly hazy gold in colour, with a decent white head. Aroma of apricot, lemon, sherbet and sour dough, with some juicy fruit gum in the background. Flavour of tart and yeasty stone fruits, oranges, peppery hops and green herbs, finishing off dry and mouth puckering. Very good.

Bottle from beer subscription box. Pours cloudy golden with thin foamy head. Fruity aroma with sweet stone fruit and citrus - rather duty too. Soft taste with refreshing finish. Unfiltered, very hazy gold color somewhat peach with small white foam. Aromas of, fruits like peach and citrus. Also smells of straw, dust and malt with light hop touch at the end. Palate, medium texture and light body, with small carbonation and nice long hoppy/citrusy finish. Taste, is quite sweet and simple. Tastes softly of lemons and hops. Overall, very nice saison beer, nice simple and refreshing, beautiful color and aromas all that you need for simple nice saison.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2016 RERATE 15/20 14/20 Easy to drink saison with a hint of orange. But like a blue moon without the pulp. Decent 16/20 Second bottle thought was fantastic and would give 16/20 so split the difference. Full of flavour, interesting and easy to drink ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy yellow color, small white head. Light spicey, Sorachi Ace dill aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tropical fruityness underlying but flavor is dominated by spicey, grapefruity dill flavors. Interesting use of Sorachi Ace.

Hazy orange with off-white head. Frothy woody hop, yeast, intense orange and citrus, phenols. Good balance between bitterness and farmhouse flavours. Dry finish. Body has quite aggressive carbonation.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Very hazy golden-orange pour with bubbly white head. Aroma is farmy, with lemon peel and banana. Taste very tart sharp and bitter, farmy saison flavors. Palate light and very bubbly. Not bad for this style.

33cl bottle at home. Somewhat hazy orange with a small white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitter and sweet tones. Yeast, citrus, grain, tart and tangerine. The Sorachi Ace is very present in this brew, very good!
