COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Epic by name, epic by nature, this Farmhouse Ale is a transcontinental fusion of Belgium’s eclectic beer culture and the feisty hops of North America brought to life with the aid of West Country artisanal brewing wizardry and judicious use of the US-grown Sorachi Ace hop. On the nose, the hops deliver a big splash of tropical fruit, followed by ripples of well-seasoned spiciness spreading outwards. In the mouth a tangy, bittersweet fruitiness holds sway, while tangerine oranges tap dance their way across the tongue in the finish.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Slightly hazy gold in colour, with a decent white head. Aroma of apricot, lemon, sherbet and sour dough, with some juicy fruit gum in the background. Flavour of tart and yeasty stone fruits, oranges, peppery hops and green herbs, finishing off dry and mouth puckering. Very good.

From on tap poured into a snifter -- This is a slightly funkier than normal saison. I would have loved to drink this on a hot summer day outdoors, it was very refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a pale hazy gold with a high, large-grained, mashed-potato head. Nose is lemon, spice, and a little barnyard, earth, and wood. Peppery sweetness up front, with mango and orange frontwards; there’s a touch of bitterness and hops grassiness, and a vegetal note shading close to green chiles. Finish is long, dry, herbal, and spicy. Very nice.

Bottle from BottleDog London and drunk at home. As an aperatif. Hazy mid gold lasting white head. Perfumed fruity saison aroma. Peachy flavour. Dry saison finish. I’ve had 3 of these Wild Beers in a row and 2 have had this peachy flavour. Decent dryness touch of perfumed soap. OK, but the peach is too dominant.

Bottle. Bready malt, pineapple-tangerine, and spicy yeasty aroma. Hazy golden yellow with a large white head. Bready-wheaty malt, slightly musty lemon peel, and spicy citrusy hops flavor. Body on the light side of medium, lively carbonation.

Tap at GBD. Pours clear gold with a medium, creamy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is lime and papaya hops, biscuit malt and pear esters. Flavor is crisp malt, medium hops and bitterness, tropical notes and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

11.2 ounce bottle shared by obguthr, 5/29/14. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden yellow with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready malt, vinous grapes, yeast, mild buttery note. The taste is doughy malts, a bit of butter, dry grapes, mildly sweet finish. Medium bodied, very dry, spritzy carbonation.

Pours hazy yellow with a large but short-lived white head. Aroma of yeast and wheat. Taste adds some welcome spice.

Aroma is not very present at all, maybe some winey character but nothing complex nor appreciable. Pour is dark golden, spongy looking fast vanishing head, body is canon to style, carbonation is canon to style, one word: boring. Aside from some lemony notes, this beer is not complex at all, completely different than advertised. Brewery should spend less time designing cool websites and cool bottles and spend more time perfectioning their recipes. Overpriced.
