Murky golden with a slip of ringed white head. Kicks of crystal sweet, small breezy brett but an uphill hop funk; melon, pineapple and the thinnest orange. Initial taste is green, chewy, powerful lime concentrate and a real teeth sinking kiwi-meatiness. This rolls out to a melon, lychee, pineapple - maybe of a safe thinning out after such a sucker punch first chapter. Carbonation is softer than I expected, almost grape-juice softness whilst maintaining a mature bitterness. Finishes similar to the start, backed by a raking dryness and a straight and true yeasty pineapple linger.
A fine effort and would like to have been arsed about buying another bottle, as I’m assuming all the rates before and hopefully still to come are from the first batch.

Bottle, Trembling Madness, York

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. No date on this, but I reckon it’s a fresh one. Very juicy, ripe orange. Fresh, soapiness to it. Light breadiness. Taste is where the yeasty, tartness comes in. Medium bitter and quite dry. Finish is more bitter, with a light tartness. My cup of tea.

Keg at The Bath Brewhouse, Bath, Somerset. Cloudy gold with white head. Quite a sweetish start to this which was a slight surprise, but then a drying hop note comes through, juicy grapefruit notes, some yeastiness, lasting on the palate. It continues to improve. Good stuff.

Botella de 330ml. Vaso Shaker. Aromas de uva y azúcar al destapar. Color oro pálido y apariencia algo velada. 330ml bottle. Shaker glass. – grape & sugar aromas fly at the moment cap is removed. Pale gold color, chill haze appearance. White, close & foamy crown stands sticky & lasting. Intense brett aroma over citric & ripe fruit notes. Sweet maltiness at first sip yields to lactic flavor & increasing bitterness. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Oily & spiced mouthfeel. Slight touch of Brett, hints of pine, resins & Granny Smith apples arise in the middle & linger in a bitter/sour/sweet finish. Incredible well balanced flavors & aromas.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that fades. Light carbonation and lacing. Aroma of green apple, tangy lime, cinnamon and yeast. Sharp flavour of citrus, dusty yeast and gooseberry. Medium body with a powdery texture. Nice fizz. This is so sharp, dry and tangy it’s verging on a Saison. Very tasty.

Draught @ Biercab, Barcelona

Pours dark orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of bretta, fresh hops, citrus and tart fruits. Taste is smooth, hoppy and tartish with some funky bretta notes, citrus and urinal cake. Finish is a bit musty and yeasty with some hints of bretta and tart fruits. Okay, a bit unbalanced bretta IPA.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours hazy pale with a light, dry white-wine acidity.. a hint of gooseberries, some yeast and refreshing citrus aroma. Taste seems a little muted so not quite doing it for me.
