(33 cl bottle from Brewbot Belfast; BBD: I wanted to write the date but it’s nowhere to be found on the bottle or cap. This seems like a strange decision for a beer named "Evolver") Poured at 8 degrees into a Maisel & Friends tulip reveals a cloudy golden body with one finger white head that turns into film and lace after a while. Aroma is somewhat semblant of Alefarm’s Greener Pastures with the citrus fruity bretty character although this one has less grass and biscuit in it. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lingering, dry finish. Flavour is citrusy ascerbic with little sweetness. Decent.

On Tap @ Oedipus, Carnivale Brettanomyces 2015’s pre-party. The aroma has funk, tropical fruits, some herbal tones. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is moderate bitter, funky, citric. Nice, refreshing beer.

can that poured a yellow color with thin white head. the aroma is brett and funk and hops mild malt. the flavor was more of the same but with more brett which is good and the hops were jumping all around which was weird but lots of flavor involved. wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one. overall pretty tasty.

Keg at The London Craft Beer Festival. A hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of mango, passion fruit, subtle salt, grapefruit, slight pineapple, some apple and light sourness. Taste of grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, orange, yeast funk and some apple. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, lingering, citrus hop bitterness with a slight apple sourness in the finish. Smelled like a typical Wild Beer Co sour beer but the hoppy, bitterness came early on with the taste but the slight sour, tartness stayed throughout. A nice and unique take on an IPA.

How: Bottle (330 ml) at home. Thanks to boutip for this one!

>>> A lovely fruity IPA with an interesting herbal and brettanomyces profile and a sticky herbal finish.

+ The herbal features and brettanomyces combines for a very enticing aroma
+ There’s a nice leather funk complexity in both aroma and taste
+ The body (light to medium) and carbonation (medium to high) are pinpoint for this kind of beer
The herbal bitterness is really sticky, which hinders the drinkability a bit make this one a bit short from a world-class brett IPA

Flavors: Herbal, brettanomyces, tropical fruits / citrus, bread, peppery notes

Bottle pours hazy dark gold with a biggish fine white foam, lemony and funky nose with herbal hop notes. Dry-bitter and initially peachy on the tongue, but immediately turning herbal and Bretty horse-blanket. Long grapefruit bitter and Bretty funky finish.
