We have a passion for flavour and a lust for hops — this frisky, fragrant pale ale is the result. Whilst consistency is (rightly) the benchmark of most beers, we’ve gone Wild with Fresh and thrown away the rulebook. Every six months we source some of the most exciting hops from both the northern and southern hemispheres, which means two hop harvests and two excitingly different hop profiles.
Given the unpredictability of each harvest we’ll leave it to you to discover the individual aromas and tastes, but you’ll be guaranteed a punchy hop character alongside an appetising bitterness and a crisp dry finish that will send you back for more. This is a beer we like to drink all through the year. We think you will too.
The first brew of Fresh has copious amounts of New Zealand hops in it. We particularly love the sherbet lemon aromas in the Southern Cross.

Cask conditioned handpump Lyric Soho London 03/05/13. A hazy blonde coloured beer with a bright white head. Another lovely hoppy beer. Great pale malt balance. Less citrussy tropical than the Tiny Rebel I had before this and the extra lick of alcohol is noticeable. Very tasty and drinkable again. Good stuff.

Very cloudy medium orange body with a small, off-white head that leaves some lacing. Rather strong aroma of tropical fruits and pine. Quite ordinary for A Wild Beer brew, I miss some wildness. Pretty strong flavour of slightly overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine and resin. A spicy peppery background. Light sweet and rather heavy bitter and long-lasting finish. Light to medium body, dry and chalky texture, moderate carbonation. A nice one, but not that special.

330ml can from Ales by Mail. Pours hazy gold. Taste is bright citrus, not particularly fresh-tasting but has a good soft citrus fruitiness. A good easy-drinker.

Can at home. Aroma of grass, lemon, citrus, tropical fruit notes, cactus, hops. Flavour is medium bitter. Body is medium. Very crisp and sharply grassy, not your typical APA aroma, but definitely refreshing and tasty.

Bottle at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Sweet citrus and peach aroma. Bags of fruit in the flavour leading to a citrus twist in the finish. Tasty stuff.
