3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg @ The White Horse On Parsons Green. The pour’s a soupy, murky reddish brown color with a tiny off-white head. The nose is salted dark chocolate, tangy red berry, balsamic, some wood. The taste is more tangy red berry jam. Slightly tannic, more balsamic. Slight hints of brett and buggy wood. These funky flavors are supported by a fat malty body. Notes of chocolate, charred grain, ash and leather. Dry woody finish. Easy to drink, this beer wears the ABV well. Overall, really nice effort. Thought-provoking stuff. I’m looking forward to trying more Wild beers!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma and taste of sour yeast, malt, wine and sour fruit. A beer with av nice and complex taste. This type of beer is nothing I’m normally so fond of, but this one I like, so if you like "Sour Red/Brown" then surely this beer is something you must try.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown with a thick tanned head. Smell of berries, funk, tart fruits, some malts. Taste is moderate sweet, quite funky, some hints of tart fruits but this beer is by no means sour; it’s just fruity and funky. Moderate bitter finish, some grape stones. Quite enjoyable brett beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - a shiny black olive with a lovely frothy head.
Nose - tart raspberries and cherries. Soft oak and some funkiness. A lovely popcorn note comes through eventually.
Taste - raspberry marshmallows with a coconut finish from the oak barrel. Like those Mikado biscuits you used to get.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tart and oaky finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle at home. Pours hazy red-brown, thin beige head. Sour nose, raspberry vinegar, woody light vanilla. Taste has cherry, roasted note. Quite a light body, long sour finish.
Just a side note, if you’re going to design a beer for ageing, it might be an idea to put a vintage on it. I can’t tell how old this bottle is, it might have been in the shop year, might have arrived yesterday!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On draft in Cleveland (OH)
A fairly expensive draft was a fine release from across the ocean. A more memorable pint than the other Wild Beer samples, this one almost pulls off the effect of being worth a second look. If not for the price per pour I would probably give it a shot again.
Aroma / Appearance - The body is the color of melted Milky Way bars with a scoop of vanilla ice cream tossed in for good measure. Malt, red vines, sweet candy textures, and a ticklish sour feel all add an atmosphere that reminds me of a Flemish brown not made exactly to style.
Flavor / Palate - Carbonated chocolate, molasses, and sweet anise open up on the tongue. Twizzlers and Coke are a mouth full of movie snacks. Finally comes a warm finish with a mild fiery touch. This is solid but I have no desire to grab the other Wild Beer bottles based on this experience.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nice design. Murky rusty brown body, minimal head. Sour aroma of fermenting berries, a bit lambic-y. Taste does not quite follow: a bit sourish malty taste with red berries and some vinegar. Short bitter finish with something lactic. Generally has no character, just a boring experimental beer, vastly overpriced and overrated.
