Keg @ Brewdog Birmingham. Very subtle smoked elements with perhaps more of a sour character coming through the sweetness. Nice bitterness though but could do with a little more smokiness.

Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, smoke - tar, plastic, smoke, burnt plastic. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, tar - smoke, light coal - sod. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I did not like this :( sorry ..

With grateful thanks to my off-sider Ned for supplying me with this. Appears murky brown-black colour with a mocha head and lots of sediment toward the bottom of the glass. Was extremely lively when opened.
Smoky aroma as if it had been smoked with manuka. Also present were aromas of cloves, caramel, molasses, chocolate and dates. Lovely stuff. The aromas are subtle, not obtuse. Similar flavours and an elegant easy sipping stout. Lengthy finish means excellent bang for what isnít the smallest buck.

Cask handpump at The Grapes, Oxford, Sunday 15th December 2013 Pours dark brown with a reddy glint. Very nice stout with a roasty, smokey nice bitterness but a light velvety dark sugar sweetness also. Not sure I can particularly get the tea but donít know anything about this beer i.e. whether there is actually tea in it or not, anyhow this is bloody good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7
