Pours clear gold into a tulip. White head pancakes as it recedes leaving spider lacing. Sour malt aromas. Sharp with sour apricot and caramel upfront turning to a mild, earthy bitter hop finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours cloudy golden with a huge fluffy white head and a fruity and yeast aroma. There is a barnyard pale malt flavor with a huge yeast presence and a dry bitter finish. A bit harsh.

Rustique, légèrement poivré et teinté de verdure. Une belle saison agréable mais qui sera seulement de passage dans mes archives mentales.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a medium gold with a big frothy pillowy four finger foam that sticks and rocks... Nose is yeasty esters, touch of pepper and rustic field grain. The palate follows with a pretty straight forward saison approach. Not much complexity just a well carbonated, slightly phenolic peppery saison with some grassy bitterness on the finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Hazy gold with a fine white head. Strangely herbal and yeasty nose hints at thyme, tree bark, soil, roots, ugh... Taste: tart and dry but smooth and creamy with a light body, almost watery late, instead just thin with a little doughiness from the yeast. Tastes much better than it smells, but still has some minor ginger root earthiness and some bitter thyme and bay leaf plant character, but there’s more of an orange juiciness in the taste that doesn’t come out in the nose. Points for being soft and creamy and balanced, points for an interesting yeast, but it’s kind of all over the place and goes from tasting like astringent green tea in one sip to root-y fruit juice in the next. Strange.
