Slightly earthy, doughy nose with some sweetness and a citric lift. Pours a muddy amber with sparse froth. The flavour is very nice - tangy notes from the yeast, some fresh grassy hops, some honey malty sweetness. Finish is dry and kinda Belgian. Excellent.

Bottle at home. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, musty, pretty spicy, fruit cake and orange peel. The taste is earth, musty wood, faint mould, pithy citrus, orange, mango, resinous and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and pretty low carbonation. A bit odd really. Quite mouldy and a bit flat.

5th April 2013 Cock Tavern. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small off white head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Minerals. Little creamy malt. Mild dried fruits and citrus. Semi dry finish. Competent, drinkable but ultimately dull.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (6989) - London, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2013
Keg at BrewDog Camden - London. Pours opaque fold with a huge, lastiv and frothy white head. Aroma holds lots of urine, spicy pine, white grapes. Light to medium sweet flavor, pale and lightly doughy malts, some spicy yeast, pine, pee, grass, lime. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly resinous to finish with a bit more yeast, salty sweat, ripe tangerine, pine. Really tasty beer. Lip-smacking. I like it. Quite impressive given the relatively low ABV.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BenH (1359) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 14, 2013
Keg at Vintage. Murky amber brown with small white head. Aroma is very belgian, not very bretty (oddly), smells like a kind of musty trappist, little banana, dried fruit, peppery/spicy. Taste is a little estery, dried fruit, dusty. Not particularly sour and not paeticularly interesting. Not my bag
