Bottle from Bottledog Kings Cross. Almost black with a small beige froth. Strong roasted coffee aroma. More complex when warmed up in the mouth, revealing chocolate, dark fruit, roasted coffee, everything with a good bitter-sweet-acidic balance. Absolutely a great and complex imperial stout.

Bouteille.

Bottle - Tons of dark roasted espresso with a touch of vanilla sweetness. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Syrupy dark chocolate, espresso and sweet vanilla. A little overboard but decent.

Pours thick and dark brown, treacle. Chocolatey aroma dominates the nose with hints of coffee and roasted nuts, slightly sweet. It is thick, silky, oily, lots of vanilla and chocolate balanced with a delicate coffee bitterness. Chocolate milk mixed with creamy espresso. Very tasty, the alcohol is warming but is perfectly balanced with the intensity and complexity of the flavours.

Bottled. Pours deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and vanilla notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Impy.

330 ml bottle. Dar, dark brown, very close to black body with a fine, medium sized pale beige head. Aroma has dark malt, roasted coffee and wood. Flavor is quite smooth, medium roasted dark malt. There is more roast here, but I feel this is like roasted expresso coffee, some dark chocolate, hint of dry fruit, balanced bitterness and quite much wood going towards something earthy. The alcohol is incredible well hidden, it event doesn’t feel very hot, just a subtle hint. Fien body and aftertaste. Feels a bit one dimensional malty and woody at the first few sips, but by the end of the bottle I’m really enjoying this one.

22.1.2015. Look is oily and intense. Aroma is pure espresso, simply delicious. Also roasted dark malts. Flavour also has intense coffee, also decent sweetness, balance is to the sweeter side. Dark chocolate is also present. Tasty!

Frisse geur. Rouwen bittere groente geur. Voegt niks toe.
