Nice creamy mesiumlasting head. Aroma is loads of harsh vanilla, coffee, unripe banana, dark malts, caramel, chocolate, grass. Taste is very harsh sour-ish and metallic, sour coffee, a shitload of harsh vanilla, alcohol, dark malts, burnt caramel, dark fruits, unripe banana. Medium bitterness, harsh mouthfeel, very high fizzy carbonation. Holy crap on a cracker...!!

330ml bottle at home. Pours deep dark brown, thin tan head. Big coffee aromas, creamy, vanilla, light chocolate notes. Taste has more fresh coffee, light cocoa. Finish is a little boozy. Would like to try aged, not necessarily called in anything, although whiskibeest is ace.

Bottle from Brewtique on my birthday last year. Poured dark brown to black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, a fair bit of vanilla, boozy notes. The alcohol in the flavour is hidden pretty well, quite drinkable, chocolate, roasted coffee, some warmth from the alcohol, hint of vanilla, Smooth creamy palate. Pretty good, enjoyed this.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 05/2014
Aroma is like sticking your nose to pea bucket of Prisma. It has also some mocha tones and truffles. Flavour has jalopeno-like vegetables, some mocha, peas and licorice. Perhaps better when fresh. No signs of vanilla here.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

BBE 05/14 - Pours pitch black with a bubbly brown head. Aroma of vegetables, cold coffee, roasty malts, hints of vanilla and cocoa. Taste is roasty, ashy and burnt with sweet syrupy notes, hints of vanilla, cold coffee and cocoa. Finish is roasty, sweetish and burnt with hints of sweet syrup and cold coffee. A bit unbalanced and messy.

lusikka (6029) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 26, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of veggies, such as kale and spruce with some roasted notes. Flavour of roasted malts, something sour, vegetables, spruce, cardboard and something sour. Residual sugary notes as well. Medium bodied and slick mouthfeel and a dry, slightly sour, vegetable finish. Rather unpleasant, really. Drink this when it’s fresh, really.

BeerViking (2307) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2014
Bottle from the brewery’s pop-up bar in Bristol xmas market, pours espresso black with a coffee crema, hints of red fruit on the nose, along with toffee, a touch of red wine, a light alcohol burn, and yes, some roasted coffee. Texture is dry and syrupy, then the body turns dry-sweet roasty, with a bitter saltiness reminiscent of chocolate that’s 99% cocoa. Light umami notes in the background, along with treacle toffee, burnt caramel. Sweet in the finish, yet still also dry and burnt-bitter. Amazing.
