Bottle 33cl. Beershop in Rome. Black medium to full body with a good head cappuccino. Vanilla and coffee aroma at first. Taste: like seta. Great body, chocolate coffee and vanilla have really good balance. Wildbeer:Top!

Deep brown nearly black body, small light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, toffee, vanilla. Flavours of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, toffee, alcohol fusel, vanilla, light ashes notes. Long warm bitter cocoa finish, ends up slightly dry. Alcohol is well hidden, well balanced beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lots of chocolate mixed with espresso and maybe some berries or fruit. Vanilla was added to this beer but it never gets artificial like in many other stouts. This stout is different from most stouts but highly recommendable

Trop frais, c’est un rien vague.. En se réchauffant, révèle plus de caractère. Un rien piquante ... Une bière franche mais pas assez "cajolante" ni au contraire "violente" pour mon goût en matière de stout.

Complex toasty aroma in a brown black pour. Taste is a complex but subtle mix of chocolate, coffee, licorice, and vanilla that easily hides its strength without the distracting sweetness of other examples of the style.

Pours almost black with a thin beige head. Aroma of good quality dark chocolate, fruity dark chocolate like 90% Ecuadorian. Then develops into biscuit sweetness with some Vanilla. Taste of sweet chocolate and a touch of coffee. This is like Yellow Bellys non Peanut cousin without the clawing sweetness. Finish is strong mocha. Almost no alcohol burn. This could be dangerous!

Tasted this in the Taproom, Drygate Brewery in Glasgow on the 30th January 2016. Keg on tap. Pours a dull black in colour with a thin buff head. Strong malty notes of sweet treacle toffee and roast coffee. Thin oily mouthfeel and no lacing. Dark malt complex gives a rich maltloaf base with strong flavours of liquorice, roast coffee, molasses and dark chocolate. There is a slight hop presence in the brief aftertaste which adds to the complexity, giving a slight dusty edge in the palate. The finish is smooth and malty with strong roast grain, treacle, liquorice, dark bitter chocolate, mocha coffee notes full in the mouth. This is a cracking Imperial Stout, well balanced and full of complexity. Highly recommended.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Soy sauce bomb on the nose with some mushroom, worcestershire sauce and light tart fruit. Umami all over the palate, zero vanilla and very little coffee in this one. Sea salt, prosciutto and more soy sauce with some light aged balsamic vinegar. Mouthfeel is syrupy, hides the abv well. It’s interesting, but not really much going on besides umami.

Wild Beer Co. Wildebeest 10% I bought this in London but it has since made it to Japan. It was pricey in the UK but inJapan it easily retails over 1500¥ for a 330ml bottle. Pouring an inky black with almost no head beyond a ring of rusty foam. The chocolate vanilla aroma gives a somewhat oreo cookie vibe to this beer, in a good way. Some savory espresso also presents itself. Full bodied with a velvety mouthfeel. This is one incredibly rich beer: cocoa nibs, vanilla, chocolate cookie crubs and a sweet fruity edge but that edge is like what you’d get from a premium single origin chocolate rather than actual fruits. This is damn damn good stuff. Yum.

Nera impenetrabile, schiuma scarsa di colore marrone. Odore molto intenso di malto tostato, liquirizia, caffè, cioccolato, cuoio, legno, tabacco, nocciole, liquoroso. Oleosa e pastosa in bocca, carbonazione bassa, quasi setosa. Sapore di malto tostato, liquirizia, caffè, amaro finale lungo. Alcool ben mimetizzato. Una bomba!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. Opaque brown with brown head. The aroma has lots of coffee, ash, chili and some minerals. Sweetish flavor with notes of coffee, chili (but not hot), some licorice and chocolate, boozy, complex. Full-bodied. Great.
