Pours a nice dark color. Aroma is fruity much very lite. Taste is as good as it gets with fruit beers.

There’s probably some beer in here somewhere but you’d never know it by the taste. The overwhelming blackberry at least seems pretty authentic and not overly syrupy. Still not my thing.

Bottle. Blackberry and alcohol aroma. Purple color with mauve head. Very sweet blackberry flavor with moderate alcohol finish. Tastes like a generic fruit soda with cheap vodka added. Not as horrendous as the Wild Blue.

Is this a beer or a wine cooler? I couldn't tell. Very sweet pronounced blackberry flavor, pretty one note. ---IMHO

Braudog (5062) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. Blackberry-hued deep purple. The thin head disappears instantly. Not much of a nose, but drinks with a full-on berry extract flavor. Like the Wild Red, the 8% becomes more evident as it wears on you. Unlike Wild Red, the artificial sweetness in this one grates on you until it becomes unenjoyable. (#4589, 5/7/2012)

bottle - Pours clear, reddish-purple with a small, fizzy head. It’s got an assertive berry smell that seems artificial. The flavor is very sweet with more fruit punch taste though not as Hawaiian Punch like as the Red. Is that good or bad? It’s light to medium bodied and is a little better than the red.

Pour from a 12 oz. bottle at Microfest. I had to support jckp64, who was pouring this. Pours a deep purple color with almost no head. Cloyingly sweet blackberries, sugary syrup, and not much else. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a syrupy sweet mouthfeel. At 8%, this is going to get some sorority girls messed up.

Aroma is blackberry and spice. Pours burgundy with a pink head. Flavor is very sweet blackberries. Tastes like a fruity soda.

4/27/12. My father randomly brought this down for graduation along with Wild Red - and what do you know, I haven’t had either! Dark purple pour with a small tan/blue-ish head that fades fast. Huge fake blackberry aroma - very sweet with a bit of tartness. Annoyingly sweet flavor with blackberry, which is quite fake. It tastes like a flavored berry muffin, much like the Wild Blue always has. Scroll past.

Bottle. I knew this wasn’t going to be good going into it but I love blackberries so I thought it would be ok. Smelled like malts and booze. Poured a pale purple. Flavor was infused fruit and alcohol. Horrible after taste. Not a very good beer at all.
