Bottle courtesy of my real dad while in Georgia. Pours a deep purple body with thin off white/purple head. Aroma is super sweet blackberries and strawberries. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of blackberry, strawberry, black cherries, tons of artificial sweetener, overly sweet candy and horribly grainy lager notes.

PorterPounder (7065) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Seaside, Fl - Modica Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark purple, light off white head. Pleasant aroma of blackberries, a hint of vanilla. Flavor is full of potent blackberries, a hint of booziness, some traces of blackberry syrup, 12 oz is enough - edging towards cloying. Mouthfeel is a bit harsh. Kind of a guilty pleasure.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6485) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-black color with a large foamy pink head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was all blackberry pie (crust too). The flavor was tart blackberry pie and sugar. Long blackberry pie and sugar finish. Medium body. Very tasty.

Bottle. Blackberry-hued deep purple. The thin head disappears instantly. Not much of a nose, but drinks with a full-on berry extract flavor. Like the Wild Red, the 8% becomes more evident as it wears on you. Unlike Wild Red, the artificial sweetness in this one grates on you until it becomes unenjoyable. (#4589, 5/7/2012)

Bottle. Purple in color with a short, light purple head. Aroma is super sweet and smells like candy with blackberry jelly. Taste is also rather sweet with strong fruity candy notes and lots of blackberry jelly. Body is light-medium and has strong carbonation with lots of sugary stickiness. Ends the way it began - candied fruit and blackberry jelly. Yeah, this really isnt a beer but is more of a dessert. Either way its easy to drink and isnt horrible despite the reviews.

berkshirejohn (5834) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2012
12oz bottle from Wegmans King of Prussia, PA. Raspberry red with a thin pink head and lively carbonation, fruity aroma - presumably blackberry with some underlying malt to show that there is some beer in there somewhere; surprisingly full bodied, with quite a weight to it, the taste is really sweet and grainy; unfortunately then alcohol then hits the back of the throat like petroleum spirit, making it more like a cheap alcopop. Worth a try - but only once.

Patrickctenchi (5802) - Coxs Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - APR 17, 2012
Pours purple with an off-pink head. Aroma is strong blackberry, very natural flavour....you almost expect some real seed grit...high ABV is noticable at first, then settles in. Not really "beery", but definitely a great taste and feel. Do you remember the old "Scot-Lad" brands of soda pop? This is like the blackberry soda one with booze....and thats not a bad thing. A quirky, fun fruit beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear pinkish purple body with a super fizzy pink tinged head that faded to a very thin film. The smell of this is hitting me from two feet away. Smells like grape soda mixed with jelly. Cant imagine anyone would guess this was a beer simply by smelling it. Tastes like grape soda mixed with food dye and some grain alcohol. It has a very chemical laced lingering finish that really sticks around. Sticky and clingy body with fizzy prickly carbonation. This stuff is pretty bad. I think Id rather drink MD 20/20 than this stuff.

Aroma is blackberries, cherries and a hint of malts. The flavor is blackberries, sweetness and a mild hint of hops in the finish.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated light purple hued colored body. The nice aroma was blackberry. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong fruity aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of blackberry and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
