Not still but darn close. Sweet honey and berry nose. Honey sweet mead with flavors of tart blueberry and some raspberry popsicle. Nice dry finish. Tastey mead. Thanks to thedm and hotstuff for sharing.

This corked bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent light red brown colored body. The aroma was of berry and very sweet. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting honey aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of berry and honey. Yes, a mead with a biting finish of honey. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting courtesy of thedm and hotstuff - This honey wine has a pleasant honey and blueberry aroma. It tastes sweet with the blueberries apparent but not overpowering. That’s interesting that some raters didn’t think it was sweet at all. I thought quite differently. It finishes a little dry and is a quality mead. Enjoy.

4 ounce tap at Bad Apple in Chicago. It has a glowing red color. The spiciness and mix fruit flavor made this unique, but i’d probably have trouble drinking 12 ounces of it.

Bottle at the AHA Rally at Goose Island Fulton Plant. Pours a nice purplish red with no head. Nose is robust, notes of honey and fresh blue berries. Mild apple and maple in the distance. The mead itself is quite dry and has a ton of honey and blueberry flavor. Fruity and tart. Very high quality stuff that I’m a big fan of.

Pours a deep red-purple color and very clean. Aroma has almost zero sweetness and is very reminiscent of a cabernet sauvignon - dark tannin, dark grape rind, slight tartness complimented with some mild blueberry fruitiness. Flavor has a very early mellow red wine note but this fades fairly quickly to a hefty crushed, fresh blueberry juice note. Flavor ends on a light sweetness but one that fits a watered down juice than a meed. Body is pretty thin with a very light stickiness to it. Overall this meed was just okay. Nothing about it was really striking and the body was a bit lighter than I thought it would be. If the body was slightly heavier and the berry flavor a bit sweeter, I think this would be a little better. Too much like a cabernet sauvignon and not enough like a meed.

Had at the Hopleaf in Chicago. Simply amazing; by far the best mead I’ve ever tasted... also buttery and delicious... my friend said it tasted like blueberry pancakes!

500 ml bottle. The bottle is a smiling crescent moon shape and is pretty cool, especially when it still held the mead. Pours a deep purplish red with no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma of blueberries and honey. The flavor is honey with a bit of earthiness and some light blueberry accompaniment. The berries are noticeable, they just seem to be struggling a bit. A bit of alcohol warmth at the finish. Mild-moderate sweetness and not cloying in any way.

On tap at the Hop Leaf in Chicago: Poured a light purple golden with lively sweet aromas. Flavors included very floral honey, fresh blueberries, and a lightly sour and dry finish. A very full bodied drink with a good amount of complexion. Good mead! Would love to try again.

750ml bottle that has been setting around for a year or more and served near room temp: Clean purple hue and moderately oily. The aroma has beautiful characteristics of tart blueberries and sweet blueberry honey along with a light herbal note that sort of reminds me of basil and heather. The flavor is moderate sweet honey and tart acidic fruit, a nice counterbalance that keeps this from becoming cloy. The finish is again herbal and flowery. The mouth feel is only medium-bodied and not the normal sticky qualities you find in the genre. I liked this a lot because of the balance and the fact I am a big blueberry fan.
