Pours a pale rose in color. Nose is lightly floral and acidic, almost lambic-like with a light overtone of something like menthol or mint. Taste is a more straight-forreward sweet/tart balance but overall quite pleasant. Reminds me somewhat of Thanksgiving day cranberry sauce. Not at all a knockout punch from WIld Blossom who do make some very fine meads but definitely better than most commercial meads.

nice pinkish red clear pour. Aroma is dry and light with notes of tart cran funk and a little sweetness. The flavor was nice tart cranberry flavor with good balancing honey sweetness. Slight tannic/funky taste paralleled the sour notes. This went really nicely with easter dinner.

Sampled at West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago Wild Blossom tasting. Ruby red-rose color, almost hazy. Slight cranberry aroma, dry, very light. Flavor is very sweet, tart, cran-rasberry. Medium body, syrupy. Sweet, but well done.

Very attractive crystal rose pour...and a lot of lingering legs indicating a sustantial ABV. The nose is subtle and sweet, mainly alcohol driven, but hints of berries. The flavor is sweet but somewhat restrained. It has a nice slightly dry finish that seems to cleanse the palate of any remnants of cloying sweetness. Pretty respectable effort by my local meadery. Thanks Greg!

I was surprized to find out that there was a meadery a ten minute drive from me in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, a scant few blocks from my good friend RAYBOY01’s house... and I don’t think he knows about it. (I was even more surprized to find that arjoseph from Bellevue, Nebraska, got a rating in before me, after I’d entered the meadery and their meads into the database!) Anyway, this pours a beautiful, clear pale rose color. The aroma is dry with a mere whiff of the cranberries. It’s like a very dry white wine with a touch of cranberry tartness. I’m not a wine person, since it normally leaves me with plenty of "reading time" after it awakens me in the deep of the night. (That means I’m on the can, for those of you who don’t read when taking care of business.) And I don’t know meads, this being merely my second such rating. But I know I like this one, and my last mead didn’t make me a more literary person.
