3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. 100th mead rating. Pours pinkish red. Nose/taste of intense honey and florals, which I assume are hibiscus and some red currants. Medium body. Very flavorful and concentrated.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle donated by Wild Blossom at HOPS Oktoberfest. Pours a bright reddish-pink. Nose is very floral, tart hibiscus notes, jamaica with some floral honey. On tasting, the acidity from the hibiscus is in unison with the soft acidity of the fermentation. Mild honey, dry finish. Nice mead.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample from a bottle brought by RAYBOY01 to the latest Flossmoor Station mug club tapping: It had a clear scarlet body, very striking. The aroma was red berries, honey, and floral scents that I must assume were hibiscus, unless the mead was jokingly made. It was sweet to drink, but not overbearingly so. The flavor was a berry-like fruitiness with a dash of honey and a hint of hibiscus bitterness. Very tasty stuff.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wonderfully crystal red pour, leggy, and clean. Nose is fairly potent alcohol, sweet honey, and strong floral notes. Very sweet honey, intensely sweet floral fruitiness, and alcohol. The palate is sweet and saturated, but not clying or sticky, with it’s own sense of panache and style. Quite nicely done!
