railcat1 (491), Kissimmee, Florida, USA Apr 30, 2008 Updated: May 2, 2008 I had this on DLD courtesy of Cornfield and it was early so it was one of my first samples of the day,it was a yellow color and with a nice fruity flavor and aromas of spring flowers very enjoyable and my first mead style and enjoyable.CHEERS!
RAYBOY01 (1630), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 30, 2008 Crystal clear pale yellow with intensely lingering legs. The nose is sweet citrus, honey, and high alcohol. The first flavor impression is a very sweet floral honey note with pretty substantial highlight of citrusy orange brightness. A hint of cinnamon lurks in the finish and the drink ends in a sweet syrupy orange glow as it washes the palate and throat. Good stuff! Cornfield (4343), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 29, 2008 Well, if anyone should ask me now what naranjillas taste like, I can say, "Oranges." Clear yellow body, headless, and with thin legs, this has a juicy, fruity citrus aroma that seems to me most like naranjilla and has a sweetness that indicates it may have been doctored with honey. (Oh, wait! This is a Mead! Honey it is, fer shoor.) Very smooth, the citrus and honey blended together provides an improbable flavor that a hop-head such as me should like, but I did. Wild Blossom is doing some interesting things lately.
xnoxhatex (791), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 28, 2007 Bottle. Clear, light yellw color. Very sweet aroma with surprisingly dark fruit and citrus. Very sweet orange flavor is the most dominant, honey, cream and cinnamon in the finish. Medium body that’s almost creamy. Very interesting mead.
