COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not suited for timid or reserved beer drinkers, Wild Blue’s defining taste characteristic is its kick of natural blueberry flavor. The Blue Dawg Brewing team carefully selected a blend of hops and barley malt to ensure they complemented and balanced Wild Blue’s dominant blueberry notes, resulting in a robust and aromatic beer with a refreshing, palate-cleansing finish. Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

No head. Color of grape crush. Tasted exactly like carbonated wine. I despise wine. Hated it 500%

Smells like cheap convenience store blueberry muffins or blueberry gum. Pours a really unnatural purplish red color. Initially sweet on the tongue then finishes with an artificial weird tang that won’t leave your palate. Disgusting.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014 This beer is unrefined and just not very tasty. It has a weird-looking body and the aroma is like that of a bad, cheap wine. Blueberry flavors are overbearing and tart. In the end, this is a shitty lager that has been dressed up to look like a fruity bitch beer. If you’re offended by that statement, I’ll pretend to be referring to the (hopefully female) dog on the label. However, the 8% ABV probably has great appeal for frat boy types.

Distinct purple color of blueberries and similar smell too. Sweet tasting, with no real trace of hops or any bitter flavors. As others have noted, for an 8% alcohol brew, you’d never know as the fruit flavors mask the fact that any alcohol is in it. Definitely more on the alcopop / cooler side of things in terms of taste, but if you’re fine with that then this beer may be just right for you.

8 dec 2013, bottle. A little more pinkish that grape juice, clear, no bubbles. Nose is dry white wine or champaign. Med body and moderately fizzy. Slightly medicinal grape lollipop. Very sweet. I'd rather drink normal grape juice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Eh, not so good. Pours the color of grape juice. Smells horrid. However, flavor is sweet and blue berry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ouch. This is pure blueberry juice. Cloyingly sweet. Horrible...shouldn’t be sold legally.

Two or three of these and you will be nice. Great flavor. Maybe more blueberry syrup than actual blueberries. Best served extremely cold.

Bottle at home. Pours clear blueberry with a small, fizzy purple head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is blueberry, biscuit malt and earthy hops. Flavor is malt and heavy blueberry with a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.
