COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not suited for timid or reserved beer drinkers, Wild Blue’s defining taste characteristic is its kick of natural blueberry flavor. The Blue Dawg Brewing team carefully selected a blend of hops and barley malt to ensure they complemented and balanced Wild Blue’s dominant blueberry notes, resulting in a robust and aromatic beer with a refreshing, palate-cleansing finish. Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

Pours a blueberry deep red. Head is white. Nose is fruity. Taste is sweet with fruit. Bitterness is missing.

Pours the color of grape juice with a blueberry colored head?! Sweet aromas of blueberries and cloyingly sweet on the palate. Juice not beer. Hides the 8% alcohol very well because its juice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma was the best part, kind of a semi-pleasant blueberry. Other than the aroma, this "beer" was terrible. Had to pour it out after a couple of sips.

Simply too sweet, very light in lager flavor whole being over the top in fake blueberry flavor. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

I liked this beer, but I gather it’s a crime to do so. A purple beer (the label says blueberries not grapes) which surprises, with a pinking coloured head. The blueberry aroma and flavour are quite noticeable extract or artificial, but they still gave this beer good flavour.

Bottle--do I give extra points for being so much better than expected or were my expectations just too low? Either way, I like it. Pours with no head and black cheery soda color, in fact, it looks like Black Cherry soda. The aroma was blackberry, but not overly sweet. The taste and feel were more of a soda than blueberry waffles, so plus for that. The higher alcohol was not notice. Pretty good stuff. Total wine.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2013 Inbev makes this? Dang it. Well, very good beer. Fun red/purple color. The blueberry flavor is very present without turning me off. Not sugary, considering the high gravity of 8%. Very good beer!

Don’t let the low marks fool you. This is a tasty lager. If you like traditional lager stay away. What part of Blueberry don’t you understand? This a a tasty summer cooler. Can’t even taste any alcohol whatsoever.

Surprised I liked this so much, not much expectation going in. Deep red wine color, very sweet & even at 8% the alcohol taste wasn’t very apparent. Wouldn’t buy a 6-pack but one will work if available.

Bottle. This beer was awful. Tasted like someone took blueberry juice and poured the cheapest beer they could find in it. Deep bluish purple color, with a purple head. Aroma was the most pleasant part of it. Smelled like blueberry jam on toast. Had to pour it out. Just way too sweet.
